Who can become a member?
New York City residents (age 18 and older) with at least one of the following diagnoses:
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Bipolar Disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Schizoaffective Disorder.
How do I join?
The first step is to visit the Clubhouse and take a tour. If you decide to become a member after the tour, there is a simple enrollment process. We require the following documentation:
- Venture House Membership Application
- A Psychiatric Evaluation,
- A Psychosocial Assessment,
- General Basic medical Examination Record
It’s that easy! You can begin to enjoy and benefit from your Clubhouse membership immediately.
What is the cost?
The Clubhouse program is fully funded by the City and State Departments of Mental Health. There is no out of pocket cost to our members.

How often may I come to the Clubhouse?
Membership is voluntary and lifelong. There are no pre-set scheduling requirements; you come as often or infrequently as you wish. Many attend every day, a few times weekly or monthly, or only once in a while. Members can return to the Clubhouse after any length of absence.
