Ana Maria Gilliam

Ana Maria Gilliam, the founder and owner of AMG Management, is a professional with a compelling personal journey. Born in Cali, Colombia, she carries a deep appreciation for her vibrant Latin culture and spirited music. Ana pursued a higher education in Michigan, where she blended her Latin roots with diverse cultural experiences. A rich blend of influences has shaped her unique perspective, with her mother hailing from Barcelona, Spain, and her father a native of the Dominican Republic.

Ana Maria Gilliam's love for music, sports, and other live events is a deep-rooted passion in her life. She grew up in a household that celebrated music, dance, and the arts, which led her to develop a keen interest in bridging the gap between artist and audience. This passion led her to establish AMG Management, a global network of talented entertainers, and to produce extraordinary festivals and events in the Latin market. Her journey was not without its challenges, but her determination and resilience propelled her forward.

Transitioning from a 40-year career in the public school system to entrepreneurship came with some obvious challenges. Building a team and establishing a solid operational foundation were vital steps in her journey, and by drawing from her experience as an educator, she immediately emphasized empathy, relatability, and community building in her approach to business.

Gilliam wholeheartedly believes in leading by example and empowering other entrepreneurs to become leaders, a steadfast philosophy she has instilled in her students and children, Sean Gilliam and Jacqueline Kyrouac, and now applies to her business. She credits much of what she has learned within the event space to her producer, Juan Pablo Giraldo.

Moreover, Gilliam's genuine commitment to the well-being and development of artists is the exceptional standard that sets her apart. By envisioning a community where artists are supported, nurtured, and given the resources to excel, she was ultimately propelled to travel to over 40 countries and five continents to help artists. These experiences bring an exceptional global perspective to her work, exposing artists to a world of talent and cultural richness. Gilliam currently works toward the goal of encouraging new artists through her role as chief entertainment operator for top Bliss Club International in Peñol, Colombia.

With fluency in Spanish, English, and French, Gilliam's trilingual tongue has been instrumental throughout her global endeavors. Her accolades include Coach of the Year in high school golf and Hispanic Teacher of the Year. Her teaching career spanned middle school, high school, and university levels, and her experiences have only enriched her understanding of diverse audiences and cultures.

Looking ahead, Ana Maria Gilliam envisions a future where AMG Management expands its presence into Colombia, the United States, and Europe. Her ultimate dream is to unite young and upcoming artists from around the globe, creating unforgettable musical experiences and events. Her family, including her two children and grandchildren, serves as her primary motivation and encouragement to leave a lasting impact through her work, instilling a sense of hope and excitement for the future of AMG Management.

Through AMG management, Gilliam is helping mold the entertainment industry's future but, more importantly, creating a legacy of unity and cultural exchange that will echo for generations.
