Should you get a Chase business credit card?
If you’re looking for a small business credit card, it’s hard to go wrong choosing a Chase Business credit card. The card issuer has multiple business cards from which to choose, all offering a variety of rewards, features, perks and annual fees.
Annual fees on Chase business cards range from $0 to up to $450 each year. For Chase business credit cards with an annual fee, you’ll always want to get enough value from the card to at least break even.
To determine whether a Chase business card is worth it, start by looking at your business expenses. How much do you spend on your business each month and how much of your spending goes on a credit card? Do you spend enough to justify a card with a high annual fee? Does Chase offer business cards that align with your spending habits as a business owner? Are there cards that earn rewards that you find valuable?
Then, look beyond the rewards to what other benefits are available to you as a cardholder. What business, travel or other features come with the card? Some Chase business cards come with a laundry list of benefits, while others offer fewer perks.

How to qualify for a business credit card
The good news is that you don’t need to have employees or large revenue to qualify for a business credit card. You can get a business card as a sole proprietor, limited liability corporation (LLC) or a new business venture. This can include someone with a part-time job, an occasional side business or any form of additional income.
When you apply for a business credit card, the issuer asks you to provide certain personal and business information. The details required may vary between cards and card issuers, but generally, you will need to provide the following information:
- Name.
- Title.
- Date of birth.
- Mother’s maiden name.
- Social Security number (SSN) or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN).
- Address.
- Contact information.
- Gross annual income.
- Company structure.
- Legal business name.
- Business name you want on the card.
- Employer Identification Number (EIN), if applicable.
- Business address.
- Business phone number.
- Business established date.
- Annual business revenue.
- Estimated monthly credit card spending.
- Industry category.
- Business type.
Card issuers generally look at your personal credit when you apply for a business credit card. Like personal cards, you must meet certain credit and other issuer requirements to qualify for a business card.
How to choose the best Chase business card
If you know what you want in a business credit card, it’s easier to find the right one.
- Identify the primary reason you want a business credit card. Are you looking to earn rewards on your spending? Take advantage of a 0% intro APR offer? The main reason you’re searching for a new card should be a main attribute of any card you’re considering.
- Analyze your spending. When you know where you spend the most money you can narrow down the choices to cards that offer strong rewards in your top spending categories. If your spending varies, or you don;t want to be bothered keeping track of categories, look to a card that earns the same rewards rate on all of your purchases.
- Understand the redemption options. Many rewards cards have multiple options for using rewards. Make sure that the way you want to use yours is allowed with a particular card. For example, some cards only allow you to take your earnings as a statement credit while others may allow you to book travel.
- Review the additional card benefits. You may find that there’s more than one business credit card on the market that’s aligned with your needs, so consider other card attributes. Most Chase business cards come with benefits like travel and purchase protections and offer free cards for employees. These features can save you money over a card that doesn’t offer these extras.
