How to qualify

Follow these steps to earn the bonus:

  1. Open the checking account that best fits your needs (Perks Checking or Platinum Perks Checking) by October 7, 2024. You must apply from this offer page to qualify for the bonus. 
  2. For Perks Checking ($400 bonus). Earn a $400 cash bonus after opening an account and receiving a qualifying direct deposit within 90 days of account opening.
  3. For Platinum Perks Checking ($600 bonus). Earn a $600 cash bonus after opening an account, making a cumulative new money deposit of $25,000 within 90 days of account opening and keeping the account open for 90 days. “New money” refers to funds not currently held at Huntington Bank.

The respective bonus ($400 for Perks Checking or $600 for Platinum Perks Checking) will be deposited into your new account within 14 days of meeting the requirements. 

Huntington Bank also has a Huntington Asterisk-Free Checking® Account, but it isn’t eligible for this bonus promotion.

How to waive fees

Huntington’s Perks Checking account has a monthly maintenance fee of $10 monthly maintenance fee which can be waived with $1,000 in total monthly deposits or $5,000 in total relationship balances across Huntington accounts. This includes checking, savings, certificates of deposit and investment accounts.

Huntington’s Platinum Perks Checking account has a monthly maintenance fee of $25 which can be waived by maintaining $25,000 in total relationship balances.

Huntington Business Checking: Get up to $1,000

Huntington Bank has a substantial bonus of up to $1,000 for new business checking customers. This promotion is available for the Huntington Business Checking 100, Huntington Unlimited Business Checking and Huntington Unlimited Plus Business Checking

How to qualify

Follow these steps to earn the bonus:

  • Choose and open a Huntington Business Checking 100, Unlimited or Unlimited Plus Checking account by September 3, 2024. You must apply from this offer page to qualify for the bonus. 
  • For Business Checking 100 ($100 bonus). Earn a $100 cash bonus after opening an account, making a cumulative new money deposit of $2,000 within 60 days of account opening and keeping the account open for 90 days.

Business Checking 100 has no monthly maintenance fee.

Unlimited Business Checking has a monthly maintenance fee of $20 which can be waived with a business deposit relationship balance of at least $10,000 or by maintaining a qualifying personal checking account.

Unlimited Plus Business Checking has a monthly maintenance fee of $40 which can be waived with a business deposit relationship balance of at least $50,000 or by maintaining a qualifying personal checking account.

All accounts come with features like 24-Hour Grace for Business, The Hub for revenue and expense management and overdraft protection options.

How to open a Huntington Bank account

You can open a bank account with Huntington online or in person. To start, you’ll need to decide what type of account works best for your needs — checking, savings, money market or certificate of deposit

Then, visit huntington.com to begin the application process. You’ll be asked to provide basic personal information like your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and a valid ID for verification. If applying online, you can usually upload identification documents electronically. 

You’ll also need to make your initial deposit. Once your application is reviewed and approved, Huntington will send your debit card and checks, if applicable. From there, you can start using your new account.
