What have you enjoyed about working at your location, specific job, coworkers, housing?
I enjoy working at the Smokies because this location brings people from all over the United States. The Smokies is the most visited National Park and we see that in the guests we get on property. Everyone is looking to create new memories with their families and I am proud to provide a safe place to foster those memories.
Why would you recommend working at Under Canvas to someone?
If you have ever wanted to see some of the most beautiful parks of the country and work at the same time, this is the best place for you.
What would be the best bit of advice they would give to someone considering working at UC?
Under Canvas is a place that challenges you and allows you to explore places that are like no other. Take every opportunity to enjoy the surrounding area around these camps to grow and continue to learn.
What is your most memorable experience working with a guest or a coworker?
My most memorable experiences I have with guests happen around our fire pits every night. Guests enjoy munching on S’mores and talking about what adventures they had during the day.
What is your favorite part of your day?
My favorite part of the day is the drive into work and the approach to camp. To look around every day and see the beauty of nature all around is relaxing and great start to the day.
