Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Warsaw, including volunteers, doctors, teachers, public activists, and members of religious organizations.

The head of state announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

He thanked "everyone who helps Ukraine, our military and civilians."

"As close neighbors, our task is to preserve and strengthen our countries," Zelensky said.

According to the President's Office, Zelensky spoke in detail about his visit to Poland, particularly about the signing of the bilateral security agreement.

"The agreement between Ukraine and Poland is right, strong, and, I believe, historic. Some provisions are new and unprecedented. Mechanisms still need to be developed, but it all signifies further rapprochement – even closer ties between neighbors," he said.

Representatives of the Ukrainian community told Zelensky how they support their fellow countrymen, including through the creation of volunteer networks and assistance to soldiers and their families.

Halyna Andrushkov, co-founder of the Uniters Foundation, mentioned that they have gathered a group of European and Ukrainian experts, engineers, and managers who design and manufacture drones for Ukraine. She called for simplifying the procedure for transferring drones across the border. The head of state instructed Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to address this issue.

Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Andrzej Szeptycki reported that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Poland has accepted about 600 Ukrainian scientists and provided them with jobs at universities. Together with their Polish colleagues, they are developing scientific projects.

He is convinced that this will contribute to the development of Ukrainian science and the reconstruction of our country.
