Ukraine’s energy sector receives 184 humanitarian aid shipments from partners after March 22

Since March 22, 2024, as Russia resumed its massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, international partners have sent 184 humanitarian aid shipments to Ukrainian power engineers.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Energy Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Since Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector resumed, 184 humanitarian aid shipments have arrived, containing 2,335.8 tonnes of power equipment. The aid was provided by 14 countries, namely Austria, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, the United Arab Emirates,” the report states.

In particular, partners handed over transformers, solar panels, generators, as well as electric motors, gas pipes, cables and other equipment needed for repairs.

About 1,900 tonnes of the above equipment has already been distributed among 57 energy companies affected by Russian attacks.

A reminder that Denmark will transfer EUR 4.7 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund for the restoration of energy infrastructure in the Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions.
