Ukraine and US to set up joint venture to service US armoured vehicles

"The Ukrainian Defence Industry Joint Stock Company has signed a memorandum of intent to establish a joint venture with Amentum Services, Inc. (USA), one of the leading companies in global design, project management and solution integration. We are talking about potential cooperation on the restoration and maintenance of American-made armoured vehicles," the statement said.

It is noted that earlier representatives of the American company visited Ukroboronprom (UOP) enterprises, assessed their existing capabilities, technical base and potential. Domestic weapons manufacturers expect new partners to help them obtain technical documentation, equipment and spare parts that will be useful in the repair and maintenance of US-made armoured combat vehicles.

As reported, on 10 June 2024, the first joint workshop for the repair and production of German armoured vehicles in Ukraine was opened as part of a joint venture with Rheinmetall.
