Attendees at the conference

Dynamical systems theory is an active field of mathematics with a multitude of exciting applications that brings together a diverse community of researchers from biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, climate science, social science, industrial mathematics, data science, and more. This workshop was organised by Prof. Sebastian Wieczorek and Dr. Andrew Keane from the School of Mathematical Sciences. It aimed to support the collaborative and multidisciplinary nature of research into applied dynamical systems by providing a stage for enhanced communication of the latest developments in the field, as well as a space for in-depth scientific discussions and cross-fertilisation of theory, techniques and ideas between mathematicians, scientists and engineers.

The special occasion for this meeting was to celebrate the 60th birthday of Prof. Bernd Krauskopf (University of Auckland, New Zealand) whose contributions to the field of dynamical systems, with applications stretching across many fields of science and engineering, have had significant impact worldwide.

Guests travelled from all across the globe to attend this conference that was hosted in the Aula Maxima.
