Applicants will have 1 month to complete their application to be included in the accommodation lottery.

Applications can be made through the Accommodation Portal which will be available on the UCC Campus Accommodation pages.  The Accommodation Portal will be visible in a PURPLE BOX during the 1 month time frame. Please follow instructions carefully for REGISTERING on the Portal and MAKING AN APPLICATION. It is essential to keep in mind that accommodation for all eligible students is determined by a LOTTERY and your chances of receiving a room are the same regardless of when you apply during the application period.

Rooms will be offered to successful applicants by e-mail in the first round of the Lottery in early April. Successful applicants must accept room offers within one week by email and pay the Booking Deposit of €300 to confirm.  Once the initial room offers have been made, all remaining applicants are placed on an Applicants Waiting List. As cancellations come in during the summer and are processed, up to the beginning of the Academic Year, the Lottery continues and rooms are offered to students on the Applicants Waiting List.

We look forward to welcoming you to UCC Campus Accommodation in 2024!

If you are a current or prospective UCC student, you can search UCC StudentPad for accommodation options in areas close to the University.  Once registered on StudentPad, you can view and book available student houses, apartments and lodgings in Cork.

Students with a Disability

UCC welcomes applications from students with disabilities. To ensure that all students have the opportunity to fulfil their academic potential at UCC, we reserve a small number of accommodation places where the impact of a student’s disability is such that the student’s participation and retention in university would be at risk without having appropriate accommodation.

Examples where accommodation is recommended due to a disability may include:

students with a significant physical/mobility difficulty

students who are blind/vision impaired

Requests for disability-related housing accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis. Only students who have submitted an application for Campus Accommodation in 2023/2024 will be considered on grounds of disability. 1st year students are prioritised, however recognizing our very limited space availability, accommodation cannot be guaranteed even where a student meets the criteria. Where accommodation is recommended due to a disability, the room is allocated for one year only and students must reapply each year.

We strongly encourage all students to explore other accommodation options. For advice and information, please visit https://www.ucc.ie/en/accommodation/accomadvice/

If you wish to be considered for disability-related housing accommodations and you have submitted an application for UCC accommodation on or before the closing date of March 16th, 2023, please complete this form.
