Roswell, New Mexico
In Season 2 of the sci-fi drama, scientist Liz (Jeanine Mason) mourns her alien love, Max (Nathan Dean Parsons), and tries to connect with her newly resurrected dead sister (Amber Midthunder). Max’s alien family grieves in other ways: Isobel (Lily Cowles) seeks more independence; Michael (Michael Vlamis) seeks a missing pal — aided by nemesis Jesse Manes (Trevor St. John).
“It’s hard to imagine trusting him,” says creator Carina Adly MacKenzie, “unless we did a full body snatcher–style personality transplant.”

One Day at A Time
The Cuban American Alvarez family, rescued by Pop TV for a fourth season after Netflix canceled the comedy, returns with dating woes (for both Justina Machado’s mom Penelope and Marcel Ruiz’s son Alex), college prep, a Ray Romano guest spot, and more. And yes, we learn what happened in Cuba between matriarch Lydia (Rita Moreno) and “nonsexual platonic companion” Dr. Leslie Berkowitz (Stephen Tobolowsky).

With their Missouri riverboat casino up and running, the Byrdes are at a crossroads in Season 3. Ruthless Wendy (Laura Linney) wants to expand the money laundering operation; play-it-safe husband Marty (Jason Bateman) is looking for a way to get his family out of the crime game.
“Something has to give in order for them to move forward as a unit,” says showrunner Chris Mundy.
Plus, Wendy’s mentally unstable brother (Tom Pelphrey) arrives.

There’s much in store for hapless dad of three Adam Burns (Matt LeBlanc) in the sitcom’s fourth season: teaching his daughter to drive, teaching his son to date, salvaging his 20th anniversary with wife Andi (Liza Snyder), and trying couples’ therapy with his brother!
“Watching Matt and Kevin Nealon play off each other,” says exec producer Jeff Filgo, “was a blast.”

How to Get Away with Murder
Will Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her law students/accomplices ace the title lesson after six seasons of killings, cover-ups, and other shady deeds?
In the drama’s final six episodes, “Some will get away with it and some won’t,” says creator Peter Nowalk. As the FBI and Annalise’s enemies close in, the group must decide “whether or not to come clean, to make deals, to turn on each other,” he says.
On the subject of her funeral scene and the real vs. fantasy vs. fake-out debate, “Annalise does die, I will say,” he teases. “I’ll also add, we all die.”

The Good Fight
The mostly minority law firm of Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart is taken over in Season 4 by a multinational company “who want to buy diversity,” says exec producer Robert King. “Our people who had control of their own fates [are now] being controlled by other people.”
The merger also brings a new attorney (Hannibal‘s Hugh Dancy) and returnee David Lee (Zach Grenier) — well-known troublemaker.

Killing Eve
Last we saw investigator Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), she was facedown in a Roman ruin, shot by psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer). Spoiler alert: Eve survives, and the mutual obsession continues.
“We start Season 3 with Villanelle believing Eve to be dead and Eve trying to convince herself that she wishes Villanelle was too,” says exec producer Sally Woodward Gentle.
At least Villanelle has her work: London photographers captured one scene with her in a cop disguise, aiming a gun!

The thriller burrows deeper into the unethical Geist Group — Chris Cooper joins as its eccentric founder — as it faces fallout from dark doings at the Homecoming facility. (Spoiler: They erased veterans’ traumatic memories with drugs to restore battle-readiness.)
Mind-wiped soldier Walter Cruz (Stephan James) “is on a mission to figure out what happened to him,” says the actor.
Though Julia Roberts has exited the series, Janelle Monáe (Hidden Figures) is new as amnesiac Jackie.
