President Donald Trump will sit down for one of his rare TV interviews this week. He'll meet with Face the Nationmoderator Margaret Brennan for what CBS describes as a "wide-ranging interview" that will air on the public affairs program at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3 ahead of the network's Super Bowl coverage. CBS previously announced that Face the Nation will broadcast live from the NFL Experience in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to CBS, the president's interview will not air in its entirety during Face the Nation, though; part of it is set to air at approximately 3:30 p.m. during the network's pre-game programming. President Barack Obama started the tradition of a pre-game POTUS interview while he was in office. Trump did not participate last year because an agreement with NBC News could not be reached.

Trump's appearance on Face the Nation comes two days before his annual State of the Union address, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5. The event was postponed during the partial government shutdown, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter on Monday inviting the president to deliver his speech before Congress, and he accepted.
