SEC coaches voted Alabama basketball freshman Brandon Miller as SEC player and freshman of the year, the conference announced Monday.

Vanderbilt's Jerry Stackhouse and Texas A&M's Buzz Williams shared coach of the year honors.

The Crimson Tide (26-5, 16-2 SEC), who won the SEC regular-season championship, had six players earn nine awards. That's the most in program history, according to Alabama communications.

Miller is the first to win player and freshman of the year honors in the same season since Kentucky's Anthony Davis in 2012.
