This place was a little gem. We enjoyed the walk though th gothic quarter on the way to this place. Food was delicious and beautifully prepared. They let us sit at the bar to eat and the bar tender was very knowledgeable of Spanish wines, even offering several tastings and recommendations to pair with the meals we had selected.

We were 8 guys visiting this place on a saturday evening after a match a Camp Nou.
Everything about our visit was excellent.
The food was the best we had while in Barcelona.
The service was very friendly and professional
The restaurant is very cozy, a bit hot though (but that is better than it being to cold)
It is very fair priced, and we felt that the value for money was very very good.
I will for sure go here again if if Barcelona, and recommend other to do so as well.

Second visit to Cera23 and I don’t think I could ever come to Barcelona without eating here. Food amazing, staff super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We eat out in London a fair amount, and I have paid considerably more money for food that is not comparable to Cera23. We had a young boy with us who didn’t fancy the menu, and they were more than happy to knock up a pasta for him which he loved. They also made him an alcohol free blackberry mojito ! We will be back, such s fantastic little gem that I urge anyone to try.

Don’t let the humble neighborhood mislead you, this is an amazing restaurant!
The food is marvelous and for a very reasonable price given the spectacular quality.
It’s the kind of place that makes you feel very welcome, since all the waiters and even the cooks say hello when you enter.
We had the steak tartar as an appetizer, and the veal and the lamb as mains - all cooked to perfection and in good quantity.
A must if you’re in Barcelona.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Cera 23. Service was excellent and all dishes were delicious. The only reason I am giving it a 4/5 is that we shared dishes among 3 people and the flavours were so different from dish to dish and didn’t complement each other. Risotto was Italian, pork rib had Asian flavours and beef cheek was neither. I think the wait staff should instruct against sharing or there should be more cohesiveness amongst the dishes. The margarita is spicy but good. Highlight dishes are the pork/rice appetizer and mushroom risotto.

Great atmosphere, really tasty food. The Langoustine and Octopus starters were sublime. Followed by superb ox cheek and sirloin of pork mains a divine dessert and a good bottle of reasonably priced rose what more could one ask for. Highly recommended

Came here on the recommendation of manager at Asume (they were busy and couldn’t fit us in as we had no reservation. The manager was nice enough to walke us through back of Resturant and into what I assumed was a sister Resturant. This place definitely delivers high quality food. Both seafood and meat tapas were top notch and outstanding. The cerviche, scallop, Christmas seafood platter, beef tataki and beef cheeks were all worth special mention and I would order again. Then cava sangria also very delicious. Made our Christmas dinner so memorable. Highly recommend it.

Amazing food. But lousy, rude and uneducated staff who clearly have no manners. There’s many restaurants in Barcelona with great food - so does Cera 23, however, the staff needs to change. The attitude is beyond nasty.

What an absolute treat! The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and we were sat by the kitchen so could see the food being prepared. The food was outstanding. We had the sea bass cerviche and scallops to start followed by beef dashi and bay calamari and would 100% recommend. Super friendly waiter who was very attentive.

I first visited this restaurant in 2013 and on my next trip tp Barcelona I just had to return. I'll start with the fact that we were greeted right away and taken to a table. The Blackberry Mojito was delicious and perfectly made. For a starter I had Beef tenderloin tataki and it was delicious, my daughter enjoyed her tomato tartare. My daughter also very much enjoyed the black rice volcano with seafood. Now the reason for not giving an excellent rating is the Foie gras ravioli...I didn't like it. The sauce was so heavy. Mixed with the sweet taste, and the crunchiness of the almonds it totally overpowered the ravioli making the foie gras disappear. The waiter did take it away and I ended up with spaghetti bolognese which was very good. It was just slightly disappointing to not enjoy what I was very excited for. All of the staff are attentive and friendly. I still very highly recommend dining at Cera 23!

The place felt a little touristy when we arrived, as it was clear the clientele were all tourists but wow this food was really incredible. The steak tartar was amazing and the black ink seafood risotto was beautifully done. Would love to eat this again!

Wow! I’d booked this restaurant for my beautiful partner and I based on previous reviews and as we wandered down a quiet, almost residential lane I wondered if I had the correct address. But we found Cera23 and walked into this modest looking eatery. First impressions were good as we were welcomed and invited to choose our table by a friendly host. A brief pause as we downloaded the Wi-Fi and then the menu from QI codes on a wooden dice (quirky) but once online the selection is limited but impressive. Blackcurrant mojitos all round which packed a minty, ginny punch! We chose the burrata salad and “Ceraviche” for starters and the “cubed” steak and Iberian pork tataki for mains. A bottle of Rioja completed the ensemble. The burrata with pesto was rich and delicious. But it was the ceviche which blew my socks off. Pineapple, citrus infused fish, a little heat and popcorn elevated this dish to one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The mains were really excellent with the steak cooked beautifully and the pork subtle and moist.
It was my partner’s birthday and so our shared dessert of “Neighbours Torrija” (French toast & ice cream) was delivered with a candle and a lovely Catalan rendition of Happy Birthday! A comped Spanish Baileys(?) completed the night.
This is a wonderful restaurant that deserves so much more attention and plaudits. The staff are so invested and humble, they seem to genuinely care that the food and service is perfect. Saying that I’d hate to not be able to get a table the next time I visit. It’s worth the air fare alone!!

Had a lovely evening here with my family! We were truly impressed by the service, menu, and flavors. Each plate showcased fresh ingredients and was beautifully prepared. We savored every part of the meal, from the wine to the dessert! Would come back here in a heartbeat when in Barcelona!

My wife, daughter and I went here at the recommendation of our concierge at Hotel Casa Camper. It was our favourite restaurant in Barcelona! Not just is the restaurant a 5 out 5, but each dish was 5 out 5. As appetizers we had the tomato tartare, roasted aubergine and ceraviche (seabass ceviche). As mains we had the black rice volcano, thai seabass and meat dashi. We also had a great mencia wine with our meal. Everything was just fantastic and we’d highly recommend the restaurant - it was the priciest of the ones we tried in Barcelona, but certainly well worth it given the taste and creativity of each dish.
(Our only constructive feedback as we mentioned to our waiter is it was uncomfortably hot on the top floor where we were seated. Hopefully this is something the restaurant bosses can address for the future!).

This restaurant had been recommended to us by our airbnb hosts and it did not disappoint!! Appetizers and main courses were wonderful and their wines were excellent and not overly priced. We shared two appetizers for two couples and each got a main course. I had their Angus entrecôte and it was larger than advertised and very, very tender. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful for non-Spanish speakers. We were each offered an after dinner liquor on the house which was a fine touch to a truly wonderful dining experience. Would absolutely go back again. One word of advice to those taking a taxi or Uber to the restaurant. They will leave you a block and a half from the address. It was well lit where we were dropped off and on our short walk to get there, but beyond was a bit sketchy so watch your belongings. Did not detract and it's a short walk after dinner to a main thoroughfare to fine a cab home.
