The views were amazing, so do guide. It was a perfect trip. Historic places and a bit of relaxing time at the lake. It felt just wonderful. I woul really suggest it, solo or with your group. It last around 7 hours.

I was the only person who booked the bus trip that day. They forgot to cancel my trip as minimum number of guests was not reached. After my call Director Mr. Erald Kasmi picked me up for a private tour with a car for the same price. It was a beautiful day trip to Ohrid and back learning a lot about history and culture of Albania from Erald. Thank you very much for an amazing day! Passport was needed to cross border. When picked up by the guide and told that we had to drive an hour, in the opposite direction to pick up the other guests, we were not impressed. What should have taken 2.5 hours to get to took 6 hours. In addition, the guide, although very polite, could not possibly known less about doing his job. The lack of both knowledge and professionalism was nothing short of astounding. I have used Viator for many trips, and will continue to do so as they are generally very reliable and professional. However, this particular supplier, ATHS, has no business running tours.

We are seasoned travellers who have gone on numerous such day trips, and without a doubt, this has been one of top three worst experiences ever! If I could give zero stars, that would be my choice! To start, the driver and guide - "Harold" - added an extra two hours to our long ride which could have been avoided completely (by picking up the other guests first). When we asked him why the route was planned as such, he basically said he didn't communicate well with the driver, and when we expressed our exasperation at having been made to sit in a cramped bus for two extra hours (added to the supposedly 2.5 hours of travel - one way), he said to me that the company was doing everyone a favour by keeping the tour because they were losing money due to the smaller group. Really? Such excuse and lack of accountability was extremely unprofessional and most inferior in terms of the quality of customer service. Harold sat in the bus and gave no explanation of the day's itinerary, what we were seeing, background of Albania or of Ohrid, or of the relationship between Albania and Macedonia, etc.. He gave absolutely nothing and sat like a lump in the front seat until my husband literally told him that he needed to give more information to the guests! Really?!? Hard to believe, but he did this through out the whole day - the minimum! One would think one only needs to be told once and would pick up the hint but nope, not Harold! It ended up taking us SIX hours to get to Lake Ohrid, from Tirana, and neither Harold nor the company (subsumed under Viator) had informed the guests to bring their passport (necessary) or that the Albanian currency wouldn't work (and that we'd need to bring Euro or convert to Macedonian currency). By the time we got to Ohrid, we were so completely disgusted with Harold's incompetency (not knowing the necessary info,how to communicate with guests in an effective, and understandable way), we told him we would skip all the sights and spend our own time in the town of Ohrid on our own, and meet up with him and the group after they were done (they were passing that way again). How incompetent? He couldn't even give a clear, specific time for meeting up after lunch (we had to ask him to clarify!)! One the way back, we stopped for a washroom break. He told us ten minutes, but at almost twenty minutes, when all the guests are tired, cold, and anxious to get back, Harold was having a leisurely smoke and the driver was luxuriating in his dessert!!! Shouldn't they have been waiting for the guests at the designated time and not the other way around? We were told that the Albanians are still learning about tourism and hospitality, but it was actually shocking how pathetic the quality of service was. We know that this inferior service is not pervasive in Albania because the day before we went on a fantastic walking tour with an intelligent, organized, and humourous guide! In any case, we lost a day and a night - something that cannot be replaced ever. If your time and quality of travel is important to you, DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR! It is a day of complete mental and physical torture (our back suffered a great deal from the excessive hours)! We tried to reflect this with Viator, and sadly, their response was that the tour took place as expected - a loss opportunity to improve their customer service and keep their customers! With that, we cancelled our other tour with them and will not be booking with them in the future!

Bad experience I ordered and paid for this experience last April and now they canceled it two weeks before we arrive in Tirana. They gave us no alternative or suggestions for the problem they caused. In my opinion, this shows no respect for the customers!!

There was possibility to order july 18 th tour. Ordered this tour, received order information and confirmation number, but after that received e-mail, that tour operator cancelled this tour without reasons.

Absolutely terrible experience. We went to visit Nice and other cities in the French Riviera. They don't tell you beforehand what hotels you are going to be staying in (but I expected the hotels to be budget, since the price point was low). What I didn't expect was that one of the hotels was right outside the premises of the airport in Nice and the other hotel was not even in Marseille, but rather kilometers away. Sorry for mentioning the name, but the guide Marigleni was really a horrible guide. Didn't speak french at all. Didn't care if we had any needs or not. What really pissed me though was when he almost left an older couple in the middle of nowhere because he wanted to be on schedule (the couple was on time even). And don't even bother with historical facts. The only facts he got right were those that he read from a piece of paper.

I wanted to visit Montenegro and Choose Balkans Team recommend me this day tour, as I was in a limited time schedule. I really enjoyed thus day tour. My tour guide Tani was very knowledgeable. Also the road trip was very nice and the car was comfortable.

The cruise was perfect because was organised from the Greek staff This agency the only thing that had to do was the transport and it was terrible from the very beginning We were told that the transport will be by buss and we agreed. The day that we started it came one small minibus without the minimal space that we needed for a road about 16 hours.We didnt have any space even for our legs to put. Anyways it was what it was and we kept on our vacations. After finishing our vacations we embarcated on 8 o’clock to the port and our transport was daleyd because the minibus was 200 km far from us. It arrived between 12-13 o’clock and it was even smaller from the 1st one,no aircondition, no place for the luggages, i was on the first seat and for 14 hours i was forced to feel the cold smell of the window in my face because the window was the only way of the people back to breathe. now im taking antibiotics because the cold has passed to my breathing organes.And im not allowed to go even to work cause they think i have covid. No excuses from no one, no compensation. Please be carefull where you choose to give your money. You go for holiday and you come back risking to loose your job and several health problems.

We went on a 9 day cruise in the Greek islands, the transfer between Tirana and Athens would be by bus as announced by the company. Upon departure we did go by bus and it took 13.4 hrs. The bus was okay but not comfortable for international trips, impossible to sleep on the seats and there were no toilettes or fridge in the bus. We arrived at 7am in the port of Athens but we had to wait for 7 hours there before we were allowed to checkin. It was a very uncomfortable wait in the outer part of the port after a long sleepless night in the bus. The cruise was excellent, but it was all organised by the Greek side. Coming back we had to checkout from the ship at 7am and we were told a bus from Tirana would come to pick us up. All the other groups from the different countries were gone one after the other apart from the Albania group. Our guide informed us at 8am that there is a delay as the driver is 200 Km away. We had to wait for 4 hours outside the port as we could not stay in the ship anymore. At around 12 our transport arrived but instead of a bus, it was a small old van with 19 persons capacity while we were 20 people. We also realised that half of our suitcases could not fit as there was place only for 10 suitcases in the luggage, so after the long hot wait, we also had to deal with the fact that there was hardly any place for us and for the luggage in the small old van. The drivers tried to fit us somehow, putting the suitcases in the middle between the seats and we left. The two drivers had not slept or properly eaten or paused since 24 hours, one of them was even driving with sleepers or barefoot but luckily they managed to bring us safely home, after about 12.5 hours. Obviously no Covid measures respected, no distance, no masks. After several contacts with the organising companies: ATHS, Kalemi and Supreme travel, 4 of the passengers - who we understood were friends with the owner, left the van and went on a taxi, so we were 14 passengers but still quite close to each other, without having the possibility to extend the legs in such a long trip. Our requests for financial compensation from the company were ignored, and there was not even an attempt to show kindness and understanding for our suffering - the operator from Tirana told me that now that we are 14 people in a 19 seats minivan we should be just fine. Dear fellow traveler, if you care for your money and do not want to put your life in danger, please do not contact ATHS, Kalemi and Supreme travels agencies.
