Address
Neighborhood: Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

You wont be let in until the time on your ticket so if you show up early you’ll be standing im the HOT sun for a while.Visited August 2023Traveled soloWritten August 12, 2023
- ValentinaSlovenia24 contributionsTruly a Magic nightWe found out about the Magic night - casa visit+concert on the roofetop, and bought the ticket online, they offer you different packages, ones include skiping the line, having drinks, ... you decied what is the best fit for you. The visit is nicely structured, the audioguide guides you smothly. The arhitecture is breathtaking At the end of it, you reach the terase, where the concert takes place and the bar is. The atmosphere gives you a warm and unique experienceVisited September 2023Traveled on businessWritten September 20, 2023
- 649001298 contributionsThe best of Gaudi housesCasa Batllo is the best of Gaudi's private houses. Though expensive, it was worth it. The interior is as amazing as the exterior. The blue marine theme inside is magical. Buy tickets online to save money. Backpacks could be left for free in the locker room (you would need 1 euro which would be returned to you).Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 23, 2023
- Thomas VOakland, California17,006 contributionsMajor Modernista SiteOne of the most outstanding Modernista design buildings in BCN. Since it is along the Passeig de Gracia, a very wide street with wide sidewalks, it is well-positioned to view and to take photos. This is a major tourist site and there area always big crowds around, except late at night.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 30, 2023
- E Curb NMonkey Mia, Australia109 contributionsGaudi’s residential gemI’ve loved this idiosyncratic building ever since I first saw a picture of it in a modernist architecture book. So it was quite a thrill to see it in person. Gaudi’s unmistakable flourish, quirky, fairytale quality, colourful mosaics, wavy roof and rich imagery.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2023
- Chris-D7878Spruce Grove, Canada473 contributionsA must see in Barcelona.Great place with an amazing story of the architect. It’s a must see when in Barcelona. We got the gold package as it looked like the lines were crazy long. So it was a bit pricy (45 euros each). Very cool though and worth it.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 14, 2023
- Anny RSingapore, Singapore421 contributionsAmazing FacadeSo different! So elegant! The flow of the shapes, the blend of colours… sat in front of it just to enjoy the look. Beautiful is in adequate to describe another of Gaudi’s creation. We didn’t book tickets before hand so we didn’t have time to go in. Really regretted that.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 17, 2023

Everything was well organized. I didn't understand the purpose of the small tablets at first, so that could have been better explained. The immersive film at the end was really cool.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 20, 2023
- Rucks220 contributionsBeautiful buildingWhat a cool place. This was a very interesting building and great art work. We booked fast track online and arrived during our time slot. We got the audio guide, which comes with an iPad and if you look around the room it uncovers some hidden surprises. It was not over crowded and when we got to the roof had a drink at the bar. What a cool experience.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 26, 2023
- GaryMcK50232 contributionsAn absolute must see!Casa Battlo will take your breath away. Antoni Gaudi’s innovative architectural design plays form with functionality. Every element of the Casa Battlo delights your eyes while performing its physical duties. The Gold pass is well worth the investment. Be certain to go to the roof to enjoy Barcelona!Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 26, 2023

My family purchased the Blue Ticket through the Casa Batllo and we really enjoyed the self-guided audio tour which took just an hour. Places to eat before or after your visit are nearby.

Easy to book online - discounts available- for timed entry at 15 minute intervals.
Arrived a few minutes after allotted time and did not have to queue.
Join queue which matches both colour and entry time since there are 2 entrances ( both at front of building) to allow for queues to be spaced out and way to join queue for wrong entrance.
Audio guide ( phone on lanyard) very easy to use - each room numbered.
You work your way up the house to the top.
Cafe on roof was a welcome facility and loos, on the way down, were clean and well-designed.
A lack of furniture meant fabric of building design was showcased and, despite visit being mid-morning on a Saturday, it did not feel overcrowded.
Very impressed with the collaborations (on the way down) with Japanese and Turkish artists.
Thought partnership with neuro-diverse staff who form the front-of-house team was really positive.
I also found it incredibly beautiful.

We paid for a gold ticket to be able to get the VR experience and fast track through the building. However, it did not fast track you through. Those with blue tickets entered first.
There was an event before this open. Therefore, the ques were around the corner, and it wasn't very well set up. There was a lot of confusion.
Once in the VR system was good however due to the number of people that entered at the same time is was very very crowded in small corridor.
There was area thar you weren't allowed to go into, for example, the courtyard, which on a previous visit you were able to.
Additional artists who have added their work to this experience were amazing and very much honed in on the interactions for teenagers.
Overalls the gold package wasn't worth it on this occasion. However, saying that it could have been due to the fact that the expert didn't open at 08.30 on this day. What would have been better would be a stagerd start between blue/ silver and gold ticket holders.

We booked this tour for June and it was a great tour. Very interesting and informative plus it’s a beautiful building. We paid extra for the gold tour - just a tip don’t bother, the extras you get in my opinion were not worth the money. On the rooftop there is a bar and plenty of chairs so you can relax with a drink in the sunshine after climbing the stairs to get there.

Wow!!!! What an incredible place! We took this tour based on a random recommendation from a friend. It was unlike any house I’d ever seen before. It’s definitely worth planning and booking ahead!

If you are an architecture freak then this place is a must. If you are not, then maybe not. I personally found it a crowded and claustrophobic waste of time and money.

We went to one of the summer evening tours that included a glass of cava and music on the roof top. Absolutely lovely evening! We just had the regular audio guide, not the special ipad experience, and it was absolutely fine. The tour leads you through the house, the inner stairs with their blue tiles are especially memorable. I enjoyed this house more than the other Gaudi places to visit in the area.

Outrageously overpriced. The best part was the Casa from the outside. The inside was completely empty of any furniture. Very bland and uninteresting.

If you are a Gaudi fanatic, this place may be worth visiting. Otherwise, it is the most overrated and over-priced place in the city. While all Gaudi-related locations try to rip you off, this one is best at EUR 40 per person. There are better and less over-crowded places of art nouveau in the area.
