We went to see the immersive VR theatrical experience The Horrifically Real Virtuality and loved it. Hard to find the words to describe. The centre is really progressive and high tech. Love how the programme is different and experimental but with a trendy twist. Try it.

WOW! This was so much fun!!! We came here because our college kids really wanted to experience Virtual Reality. The entire family had so much fun! They have several different rooms with different Virtual Reality experiences in each. You reserve a specific time to be in the space, just as if you were buying tickets to a movie. You might have from 2 -5 pm. During that time you can experience as many or as few rooms as you like. There are a limited number of viewing goggles available in each room, so you can wait, or move on to another room. The wait and moving around is similar to waiting for rides at an amusement park. Once in the room, they adjust the goggles on your head. In some rooms you have to stand and in other rooms you can sit in chairs. The Experiences (movies) vary. It is just like being in a movie. As you turn and look in any direction, you only see the "movie" experience that you are in. Once experience was like being in outer space . Once was like being part of an orchestra. One was an Animee story. Another was in the 1950 or 60's at a launch of a rocket to space. This was a completely immersive experience! The entire family loved this place. It is so amazing that you can turn in any direction and see anything in the "movie" you are in. I loved being in space! My daughter loved being in the Anime story. Our son loved the animated story of the girl and the monster. My husband loved the rocket launch. Virtual Reality is the future! I highly recommend you experience this at Phi Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English. The location is in the old town just a few blocks to the port at 407 Saint-Pierre Street. It was quite a walk from the Square-Victoria Metro stop of about 8-10 blocks. You have to call reserve a time. The cost was around $20 per person and definitely worth it!!!

Went to see the virtual exhibit - well it is multiple exhibits. One of the most exciting experiences I have had in a long time. If you've got vertigo ... well, this might get you over it!

Year long exhibits you are not likely to see anywhere else but here. Original, stark and mesmerizing. Leave enough time to visit all the exhibits. It is worth it. Kid friendly. Located in a delightful area of the city with lots to do, eat and tour. Before you visit, check the web-site for the events calendar.

The PHI Centre located in Old Montreal is a great attraction for media arts lovers. When I visited there was a great flight simulator that you hopped on to and experienced what it is like to be a bird. I crashed into tall buildings 3 times LOL

I've visited Centre Phi twice; once for a VR exhibit several years ago and just recently for the Yayoi Kusama exhibit; really enjoyed the Infinity Room!

Building properties are very nice and intimate for holding exhibits.
Staff is generally friendly and perfectly bilingual
Entry is pricey but they frequently do offer free tickets for some exhibits (Yayoi Kusama being one such example)
Clear written descriptions of all pieces of artwork
Ticket ordering process was quite straightforward on their website; thankfully I didn't have to wait too long in the "virtual queue" :)

Only two comments (with regards to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit)
- Staff should have informed us about the audio guide option at the start of of the visit; we only found out about this towards the end
- More time should have been given in the infinity rooms

I would come back depending on what's being shown

This was our first visit to this amazing museum, and we were not disappointed.

Their current Emergence & Convergence exhibit was immersive and a lot of fun. The entire visit was about 1.5 hours and kept my 8-year-old engaged throughout.

We had the first projection room to ourselves for nearly half an hour and social distancing was easy.

Visited the Humain exhibit with seven stations. Each was very engaging. The Emergence experience was the most interesting to me. A lot of virtual reality experiences, which is not for everyone. Those who suffer from motion sickness might find it hard to sit through some of the experiences, but I enjoyed every one of them!

We took our 13 year old son and his 14 year old friend. They, along with their mothers, watched the Virtual Garden, who's run has been extended. At the end, there is also a game the boys played, which they really got into.

The women got a little dizzy and one got a bit of a headache. The kids are more used to this type of format. It was less than $10.00 per person and the session lasted almost 2 1/2 half hours for the boys. We went early so there was no line up. The staff are really great! The had another show going on at the same time called Enemy that looked really interesting. It was for ages 14 and up.

The space is quite well done and on other levels they also have performers and DJ's. I believe some of the other shows are also licensed to sell alcohol. We stopped by the day before and they let use take a look around. Super cool!
