Neighbourhood: Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

New permanent exhibition is small, boring and very uninformative. Seems that in an attempt to not offend, they’ve got rid of anything thought provoking… Not worth the time at all. Sad when they used to have so many interesting scientific and medical artefacts. Library and cafe are nice

The Wellcome Collection is a medical museum. They had a special exhibit on "The Cult of Beauty". It included such items as a wax vanitas, depicting life and death, modelled on Queen Elizabeth I, made in the 1700s by an unknown maker. Many devices adopted by aestheticians have their origins in medicine, such as the electrotherapy apparatus from Germany and the golden mask in red case, also from Germany. E-J Scott, founder of the Museum of Transology, holds chest tissue from top surgery, 2016. It was an interesting exhibition.

Hardly any exhibits. Apart from the beauty exhibition, rooms are virtually empty, apparently due to wheelchair access. I was expecting medical exhibits - there are hardly any. I don't understand why people go there at all; there's hardly anything there. Very nice new building with nice disabled toilets. What is its purpose?
The café was also disappointing and expensive. The weakest tea that I've ever been served. Maybe the water wasn't hot enough.

This exhibition has had much publicity , however I found the hype didn't continue in my opinion into the exhibition. The wellcome collection puts on great exhibitions but this wasn't one of their better ones.
There seemed to be a bias to trans beauty and I felt like an imposter in this situation. Too much to read. The final exhibit did give food for thought. Ths was the chattels of a lady who had died and the huge amount of 'stuff' she had collected. I personal reminder to get on with the de cluttering

This is indeed a strange exhibition. It contains paintings, naked images, clothing, pictures of surgery and uninterpretable videos but no common thread. Most importantly there is no scientific definition of beauty or discussion of how the geometrics and proportions of facial landmarks can help in defining human beauty. If you want to see sensational photographs that you would normally keep from your children then this may be the exhibition for you.

The Wellcome Collection is a small free museum not far from Euston railway station – entrance tickets do not need to be booked in advance. It was not a long visit: the special exhibition on milk was OK; some interesting items in the permanent “Being Human” collection, but the highlight was visiting the library on the 2nd floor – a lovely relaxing space where I could have stayed for ages. We finished our visit with some nice refreshments in their café.

A lot of well presented woke nonsense - nothing like I’d hoped for. Surely a place with such a strong financial foundation can do better than this! Don’t bother.

Went here with our son who had been previously. Read reviews so had an open mind.My son said they had some really interesting and odd exhibits he had enjoyed .Disappointingly this part of museum had been removed as regarded old fashioned ! Now replaced with cine screens with films not of my taste. The Beauty exhibit was quite good and made you think. But again not to all tastes and not for children eg.Pictures and story of a trans person which was interesting but did not see need to have removed breasts
on view .There are quite a few disturbing exhibits but perhaps that is the point,to make you think.I really didn't like the pictures of person with tattooed eyes which just looked black !
Not for me but some will like it

Went to see The Cult of Beauty. It was very busy on a Saturday, and the queue was 15-20 mins to get in. It felt a bit rushed
So go early to avoid the crowds
