      Lovely Chamonix and Mont Blanc
We enjoyed the full day trip to Chamonix with Key Tours and our guide Kris. The 1.5 hour journey from Geneva to Chamonix was in a very comfortable brand new glass top bus. When we arrived, the group was given tickets and direction on taking the cable car to Aiguille du Midi. As others have mentioned, the guide does not have you follow him around all day while he imparts his wisdom. (But you could do that, as it seemed he was always nearby and we had nice conversation with him a few times throughout the day.) After two cable car rides and then an elevator ride, we reached the highest point. The weather the day we visited was absolutely beautiful, but it was still quite chilly at the top. All worth it for the stunning views! What was probably not worth it, however, was waiting in line for the glass box. You're allowed only a short time inside the box while an employee takes your photo, so you don't get to really experience the 360 view and if it's cloudy, you won't see much at all. It is probably better to just take in the views on the various platforms and then go back to the village for lunch. After lunch was the scenic train ride to visit the ice cave. There is another cable car ride to get to the ice cave and again, the views for this part of the tour are amazing. But be ready for the steps going back up from the ice cave! Our visit was on a Sunday, so perhaps wait times were longer, but I do wish we had had more time to explore Chamonix. Overall, since we only had one day to visit, I am very pleased we opted for the tour versus trying to coordinate everything ourselves.

      Beautiful Mont Blanc
A sight to behold. It was an experience that my husband and I will never forget. We thank God that we are able to witness this beauty.

      Disappointing
To be honest, we felt a bit cheated. We were advised that the tour would be for 5 hours, but were not aware that the 5 hours would include transport time which left us really with about 3+ hours for the tour. Before you know it, we had to leave. Secondly, we asked for a guide (English) but only the driver arrived to get us, and while he spoke good English, he was NOT a tour guide. So we really completed the tour simply by using our own observations (information provided at the various locations) and Google. For the amount we paid US$700 for two, there was absolutely zero value. Our driver was friendly and sociable but that hardly made up for the experience. So make sure you know beforehand, what you’re signing up for. Overall this was a disappointment.

      Fantastic Trip
Everything was amazing, the views, the experience. And our bus driver, Patrick, and the tour guide, Antonio, were fantastic. So much knowledge and very helpful, easy to talk to and gave great advice about places to go, thinks to do, even after the tour finished.

      A lost opportunity
The views were amazing as was the Drive. My fault I was not prepared on how cold it would be to get to the Glacier from the cable station so did not take that final part. Next time need to be better prepared with gloves and a good jacket

      Highly recommended excursion
Long day (just over 10 hours) but well worth it. We had a completely full coach to Chamonix (stunning resort town), which is not ideal for those at the end of the line as many families had to split up and sit with strangers. The bus ride is only 1.5 hours though and the ride through the alps is stunning. Once in Chamonix, the entire group packs into a gondola (I mean PACKS) and goes up halfway then into another gondola to the summit. If you are Claustrophobic, you may struggle with the gondola rides. At the top though, it is stunning with several platforms and levels to walk around and explore the scenery. It’s windy and icy up there. Wear good shoes and bring a jacket. Back down in the resort area, it was very warm so layering is recommended in summer months. After free time for lunch, we rode the train up to the glacier (once again, packed in tightly) and had the option to take a cable car to the ice cave (highly recommend), just know that once you leave the ice cave, it’s 177 steps back up to the cable car. After another hour, we packed back into the bus and made our way back to Geneva. Overall, very nice excursion.

Great day trip to Chamonix from Geneva
It was a very good guided trip. Our guide Antonio was very good and he made sure all of us were on time and he waited for us at the train station as well as the gondola. The visit was very nice. There was some cloud cover, but or experience was wonderful. Views were very good.

Wonderful day trip to Charmonix/ Mont Blanc, don't skip anything
Wonderful full day trip from Geneva! My husband and I are so glad we chose all options: cable car to top of Mont Blanc, petite red train to gondola and to the glacier area. We loved everything from this tour, view from top of Mont Blanc was breath-taking, glacier carved cave was one of a kind unique experience, fun to stroll through Charmonix town. We also liked our tour operator Keytours/ Swiss Tour. Our tour guide Antonin was very knowledgeable, patient and organized, super good at explaining things to a large group.

      Save your money!
There is no “guided” element to this tour. They provide transportation and hand you a ticket, and you’re on your own. Definitely not worth the 4x+ markup - save some money, time, and stress, and do the visit on your own. It’s very straightforward once you get there. Our “guide” told us to meet at a given time after the self-visit to Mont Blanc. What he didn’t tell us was that you’re given a timed return ticket once you’re at the top. 25% of the group received tickets for AFTER the meetup time, which meant all those people missed the remainder of the activities of no fault of their own. The tour company was horrible to work with and not accommodating at all.

Wrong meeting place to start tour
Trip advisor gave us the wrong drop off point. Good thing we could make calls in this country or we never would have found the proper place. The tour guide hardly talked to us. Was really just the driver that gave us the tickets. Rhine gals was fabulous but the overall experience going through Swiss tours for this one was terrible.

      Robbed, Disgusted
My flight was unfortunately canceled. I was 1 minute late in canceling the booking and 3 minutes late with a message asking for compassion. I was denied and wasn't offered any help. They were more than happy to keep my money. $350 gone

      Great visit, would highly recommend
Guide (David) and driver (sorry not remembering his name), were very professional and also down to earth. Everything ran smoothly even when there were issues no one could control, like road closure. Very good communication about drop off and pick up points, as well as location of toilets, cafés, etc. Great way to see several beautiful sites in one day. I’m traveling for work so I was solo, but still had a good time with other people on the tour. If I have time, I will definitely schedule another experience this group.

Disappointing - use free public transport and do it yourself
This would have to be the worst sightseeing tour I have been on. If you only have a couple of hours in Geneva and are happy to whiz past the sights with very little useful commentary then this is your tour. It would be better to use the free public transport that Geneva gives all visitors to get around and then look up the sights in Wikipedia. The information you get will at least have some useful content and you will have the opportunity to look closely at what you are seeing. This is not a hop on hop off experience so once you get on you will find your self doing a loop and then going back to the start. We decided to hop off the bus half way through and then walk back to get a closer look at the sights which turned out to be amazing. I would suggest that the guides give a little more in depth information about the sights - eg how did the water jet come to be in the middle of the lake. I also think that the ticket office needs to be clearer about the tour. I asked whether we could get off to take photos and he said yes the driver will explain. There are three photo stops of about 5 mins each in a 75 minute ride around town. Lastly the bus roof was rolled back but not secured so each time the bus stopped and then took off it rolled forwards and backwards along the tracks. It was very difficult to hear the guide over the noise and I’m sure he must have heard it but seemed oblivious to the loud noise. I finally asked at a stop whether it could be fixed and it was but why did I have to ask ??

Chamonix and Mont Blanc Day Trip from Geneva
I had an incredible time on this tour. The views were breathtaking and the tour provides excellent value for the price. Our tour guide was awesome at providing instruction, explaining history behind the places we visited and gave us an active and fun itinerary. I hope to be back soon to book this tour again.

Horrible!!!!!!! We arrived at the cable car at Glacier 3000, only to find out that glacier 3000 was closed that day. No one had contacted the tour guide to notify him that it was closed. So we wasted hours travelling to the mountain for nothing. It was my last day in Geneva (and for the majority of the group). We only got back to Montreux after lunch time. We had wasted our entire day for nothing:

And because no one notified our tour guide, we couldn’t even make new plans to go to another mountain because it was too late. I came to Switzerland specifically to visit the alps and I couldn’t do it because you guys did not plan properly!

I am very disappointed. This is horrific. Everyone was leaving the next day. Absolute waste of time. I would not recommend this to anyone!!

Hello, Thank you for leaving your review. We are very sorry that you had a bad day. However, we were not at all aware of this problem. The company only notified us at 12pm that day and not before. Of course, if we had known earlier, we would have offered you another tour. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Switzerland as a whole.

The customer service was terrible. No clear instructions of the meeting place which made it impossible to find them. No information was provided as to what to look for (van, bus). Impossible to join them. The only way I could communicate was via e-mail which is not efficient while travelling and they stopped answering my emails.

Good morning, we are sorry to read your review. You have the adress of the meeting point and the instructions which tell you to wait outside of the metro station , this is where the bus parked. We didn't have any calls, our office is open from 7. We are sorry you miss the tour but you were on the wrong place.

We have waited 2 hours til somebody from your partner Swiss TOURS in Lausanne to take us. We had the meeting place in Place du Port Lausanne at 09.30 and they have taken us at 11.30. In meantime we phoned different time to Swiss Tours by 0041227314140 and every time they said that it comes in 20 minutes because the bus is blocked in traffic. At 11.30 has come the bus driver and said : "I have to apologize but I forgot to take you ".Finally our arrival by Glacier3000 was at 13.15-13.30 more or less and we have remained there 1.5 hour. By return, in Montreux was all closed an we have remained there 45 minutes.
    Sorry but never again.

    Best regards

This tour is exactly as described.. you travel by a lovely panoramic coach to the town of Les Diablerets and enjoy wandering and discovering the quintessential Alpine Swiss town. It was an absolutely lovely day. We found a lovely place for a cafe and lunch, enjoyed the sounds of the river running through town, the views of all the chalets and being surrounded by the imposing Alps. A great day trip!!
