The Rambla offers the family atmosphere of a small town with all the accessibility and benefits of a big city. Great walk with the family after a great meal and dessert from local providers and restaurants. There are supermarkets, pharmacies and plenty of restaurants/bars.
Plenty of variety and options. The beach is about a 6-10 minute walk, there are hotels, hostels and plenty of airbnb options around. Transportation is accessible, from public to private. Parking might be a difficulty in the street specially if you are not local to traffic rules.
As a family, this is a great place to chose for a short or long stay, 15 minutes from Barcelona and 6-10 minute walk from the beach.

Rambla del Poblenou is a long boulevard in the Poblenou area, which stretches from the sea towards the mountains. It has been known since 1853, and received its current name in 1986.

I was on a long walk in the area where we stayed and I found this somewhat pedestrian area with a lot of cafes, a lot of students, and some night clubs. I liked the trees and some of the converted buildings.

At Poblenou there is this nice esplanade that is a little shorter than the famous one in the center, m. Here you can meet the locals, sit down on a bench and have something to eat or visit a bar or restaurant. It is very authentic and also much cheaper than in the center. The street leads down to the beach and promenade.

This is the prettiest street in this neighborhood, off the beaten path, used to be industrial, now full of students and office workers. Some night clubs here and some cafes.

Rambla smaller in size than the more famous Rambla of Catalunya but quieter and less touristy. There are many bars, pizzerias, restaurants and shops. Arrive directly on the seafront walking in the shade of the trees. Also well served by the L4 metro

Much nicer than its neighbor the Ramblas, from the Gothic Quarter. Indeed, here there are not countless shacks from sellers selling low-end items, touting waiters at each restaurant (simple traps who focus more on solicitation than on quality?), etc. Here, the Rambla del Problenou offers this same tree-lined avenue, with numerous shops, cafes and restaurants along its length, but without aggression and without hustle and bustle. More frequented by locals?

Great place to visit for food and drink. Tables are situated along the centre of the road. There are hardly any cars so it is a safe walk for pedestrians.
This road is much nicer than La Rambla in the centre of town with less tourists and more locals.
Nearest metro is Poblenou on line 4.
We had lunch and dinner at restaurants along this rambla and they were superb.
The rambla leads down to the beach, one of which is Platja de la Mar Bella which is a clothing optional beach.
