Lovely Lago Lounge is on the lakeshore at the edge of the Rushden Lakes shopping centre. There's a big, beautiful semi-covered terrace to enjoy the lakeside views whatever the weather, and plenty of light, airy, welcoming and slightly potty space inside. We've a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus) and you can head out to enjoy the lakes with nature walks, canoe and pedalo hire…there shore is a lot to see here! Sorry.

Our trip to Lago Lounge was lovely. Fabulous service from friendly staff who were keen to abide by all COVID guidelines. The food was gorgeous (especially the sat and pepper squid) and reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We will 100% come again! The only tiny criticism I have is that the patatas bravas was essentially over chips with a tomato dip. But that aside, it was a lovely trip and I would recommend to a friend

We went in for the eat out to help out initiative, as Nando’s was a 3 hour wait, and am I so pleased we did, as we had a really pleasant family meal. The food tasted really fresh, I had the sweet potato coconut curry and my husband and son the butter chicken and fries, and my 9 yr old daughter had the kids all day breakfast, which included a drink and a Side of carrots, bread sticks and hummus (‘icy to her approval). The home made lemonades were delicious and on Mondays you get a free glass of wine or pudding after 5pm! Bonus. All in all really pleased, I will definitely beeline for this restaurant when we are next at Rushden Lakes.

Visited for the first time during the summer holidays 2020. Very impressed with their set up with COVID-19 in mind. Menus were disposable paper ones for single use, tables were nicely spaced apart and facility was in place to order and pay with your phone from your table. Alternatively, you could place your order at the bar. Cleanliness all round was impeccable. I was very impressed with the diverse menu. I chose the fish finger sandwich and it was delicious. The coffee was lovely too. Need to return multiple times to try out all the other lovely looking dishes on offer! Well done to all the staff too who were all very friendly and welcoming. Needless to say, I'd highly recommend this place.

Made the mistake of picking this place for a bite to eat whilst out in rushden lakes today. We waited 20 mins outside being ignored until my friend went in and asked if they were actually bothered about customers. The guy then came out to advise they are doing their ‘covid cleaning’ and it would be another 10-15 min wait. You could see inside and there was no cleaning going on with several empty tables. We were finally provided a table and told to use the scan and order to place our order. Basically we had to order and pay before we got our food/drinks. After placing the order we waited another 15 mins for our drinks to arrive and who knows how long for our food. We would have got up and left but had already paid and sking for a refund would have been difficult as there was no one to ask. The drink, mango pinacolada, was sent out with wilted mint that looked days old and we ordered avocodo as a side which was raw, rock hard and inedible. Surely whoever cut it would have known it was raw but still sent it out. Presumably better to send rubbish food/drinks than nothing when you have kept customers waiting over an hour as it is! Our avocado was replaced when we finally got hold of someone. Overall a very poor experience with ‘covid’ given as an excuse instead of the truth that they were understaffed. Why pay for extra staff when you get customers to do everything themselves. Several people left the queue while we were waiting. After this experience we will not be returning or recommending.

Hi Anony1001 firstly thank you for taking the time to leave feedback we really appreciate you taking the time! I'm so sorry your visit with us yesterday wasn't a good one. Unfortunately we do have to put wait times and manage the door in order for staff to keep up with busy service especially with the covid cleaning and the high influx of table service for our Allergy guests, making sure we are thorough and diligent. Yesterday was a particularly difficult shift with being a team member down and our glasswasher deciding to give up the ghost. I have checked cctv and our food ticketing system and can see that your food took 22 minutes to arrive to your table after ordering. This is slightly over our regular wait time of 20 minutes and again we apologize. We are sorry your avocado was hard and can see this was rectified with fresh avocado being brought to your table. Again the mint i can see in your picture from your feeditback reviews, was unacceptable and should not have gone out in your drink. This is not our usual high standard and something i have addressed with the staff and again can't apologize enough for. We hope you give us another try and allow us to show you a true loungers experience. kind regards Team Lago

We went to Lago Lounge Rushden lakes during the “Eat out help out” period. Although they were busy, the gentlemen at the door was super polite and helpful. We managed to find a table for 6 of us -4 adults and 2 kids and were seated near the kitchen area. While waiting for food, we observed how well trained the staff was. The staff were continuously sanitising the cutlery, salt-pepper bottles and were ensuring excellent hygiene practices throughout the restaurant. The food was excellent and it was brought to the table very promptly. Overall, excellent experience. Will definitely visit again.

Popped in a was nice vibe. Covid for space, but not for noise levels. Staff helping themselves to food and drink in full view of waiting customers??? Paid for my round of drinks via phone, soda and lime, slimline tonic App pinged up contactless receipt £34.50, challenge lodged, refund done on the spot (via cash) Be warned Friend had paid by contactless card and will now check her statement in the hope not overcharged during next few days. They should show the amount that they require payment for on the big tablets in till area.

Very polite staff who greeted us at the door. We ordered the lounge bacon and cheese burger (1 gluten free and 1 normal). When ordering the staff members ran back through our order to make sure it was all correct. We loved the fact that when ordering we were asked if there were any dietary needs. It was lovely to see a wide selection on a gluten free menu. Our food arrived within 15mins and the plate was soon clear. The food was very tasty and a good amount. Would definitely recommend and return.

Visited today for a work lunch, told server we were ordering separatley, but for same table. Service at the bar to order was really slow, three members of staff, only one taking orders. Meals came out 10 minutes apart, leaving guests watching others eat. Constantly throughout the time there, staff came over and asked if we were finished, when clearly we still had food on our plates...had to hold on to the plate in the end, incase it was taken! Made to feel very rushed to make space for other guests. We sat near the kitchen, and then had the pleasure of the kitchen staff dragging full see through bags of rubbish past our table. Not a pleasant experience.

Had to wait for a table but only for about 5 minutes. The table we were given was right at the back of the lounge but was clean and tables were spaced out, which we liked. We ordered using the QR code and this was easy to do. The drinks came swiftly, followed by the food. We had both ordered the lounge cheeseburger. Fortunately I decided to cut my burger in half and upon doing so saw that it was red in the middle. My husband then cut his in half and his too was red inside. We called someone over who took the plates away and arranged for replacements. Another member of staff came over and apologised and offered us another drink but as we had only just got our drinks, we didn’t want another. Whilst we were waiting a third member of staff came over to see us and offered us some chips while we were waiting, which we declined. The new burgers were then brought out and these were much hotter and cooked right through. Overall we had a nice evening and it wouldn’t stop us visiting again but I don’t think I would ever order a burger again.

Visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime, delicious food and service was very attentive, friendly and kind (my daughter had a broken wrist), the team went the extra mile. Also the measures they made for covid were very good, cleaning down tables, chairs, door handles etc we felt very safe. We’ll certainly return.

After visiting with my friend, I cannot praise the staff from Saturday night enough! It was a freezing evening but they all remained nothing but upbeat and attentive! I had some issues ordering on the app and had not one but three of the staff members check up to make sure I could order food. One lady kept checking even after I ordered to see if it had arrived and that my order had gone through okay. Our experience was full of care and effort! I highly recommend the Sticky Asian Wings and the Raspberry Spritz, too! All in all, the staff are amazing and the food is just as good!

Waited 1/2 hr for breakfast by which time coffee had been drunk. 1 meal out of 3 came no cutlery by time cutlery came food was cold. Another 10 minutes the other food came along with reheated 1st meal. Very poor service level

Went on Thursday to try out the menu and were very happy to see that not only is it very clean and spacious with all staff wearing masks, who were very friendly but the menu was also great. Once our food arrived, we were not disappointed- plenty of it, fresh and hot. Went back this afternoon for a second visit and again, not disappointed. We watched the staff clean every table and all chairs when a customer left before new customers were allowed to take their place. This will definitely be a regular for us.

Good food, hard working floor staff, questionable kitchen staff, lazy manager. Food was really good, floor staff working, hard except the (shift?)manager who just lingered around. I could see our food sitting under the heat lamp for 5 mins whilst he stood there looking at, twiddling his thumbs till another member of staff brought the food over. Also staff in the kitchen, either wear mask or don’t, wearing them under their chins and noses is pointless and looks terrible.

The restaurant is clean and tidy and the staff welcoming and good to see Covid hygiene precautions still being followed. We were warned service would be slow so we were pleasantly surprised that it was not. Alas, the quality of the food let them down. We chose tapas. The bread had clearly been kept warm as it was almost toasted. Unfortunately the ingredients were a let down. The guacamole, for example, was not good. It seemed to be a coarsely chopped salad tomato added to low quality mass produced base.
