Frequently asked claiming questions

A listing on Tripadvisor is a page dedicated to a specific place or business, such as accommodations, attractions, or restaurants. It includes essential information including but not limited to: popularity ranking, traveller ratings, reviews, and photos. Listings may also feature content provided by the business, like management photos and responses to traveller reviews. If you cannot find a specific place or business listed on Tripadvisor, you can add a place through our platform.

Claiming a listing on Tripadvisor is the required first step for property representatives to access the Management Centre and its suite of free and paid marketing products. After claiming, representatives must verify their identities for the security of our community and their property's account. Verified owners can update business details, upload photos, respond to reviews, and more.

Listings on Tripadvisor can be submitted by business owners and travellers to provide users with comprehensive travel information. In both cases, Tripadvisor verifies new submissions to ensure they meet our standards. If your business is listed on Tripadvisor and you didn’t create it, it could have been created by a traveller. We encourage you to claim ownership of that listing to keep its information up-to-date and take advantage of our free marketing products.
