About
Standing over 2,700 feet and 163 floors high, this record-breaking skyscraper in downtown Dubai is the tallest structure in the world. Burj Khalifa has several open-air viewing decks and swanky lounges which offer splendid views of the UAE and the Persian Gulf. The highest lounge is located at level 154, and there is even a hotel at levels 38 and 39. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architects, this mixed-used development atop Dubai Mall is inspired by the Great Mosque of Samarra in Iraq. You might want to buy skip-the-line tickets or join a tour to avoid snaking queues at this popular attraction in Dubai. – Tripadvisor

Top ways to experience Burj Khalifa
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

    Just Awe Inspiring
Had a great morning - headed here early - was tempted by the idea of going later to see the sunset/darkness/lights but the promise of short queues early was a winner and we hardly queued. Saw so much and we learnt alot. A must do for a Dubai trip.

    Amazing views
Amazing views. We paid for the 148 floor access and definitely worth it. A lot less queueing (and we had booked for 6.30pm with the standard queues still very long) The views were amazing make sure you go to the viewing area where you can take pictures without looking through the glass. Can easily be missed.

    Nice
We came on holiday in Dubai so we thought we have to do this, so we said if we ever come here, we will come here and we did. It was okay We paid a lot to get in here as we went VIP to level 148 which is the highest you can go and then you can go up and down all the floors and stay for a few hours. On some of the floors is snacks and drinks which you can help yourself and then just leave when you want. Probably wouldn't come here again as once you have done it you don't really want go back

    Grat Shopping and view
This is a place you should go to see, there is the Shopping Mall attached to this building, in my opinion it is a better place than Dubai Mall to shop in. There is a Ski field that you will not believe until you see it. Make sure you go to the Cheese Cake Factory and sit by the window looking into the ski park.

Visited Burj Khalifa in July 2023
Visited Burj Khalif in July 2023. It cost me about 240 Dirhams. I went to the 123 rd Floor. From the top I look down and saw the desert landscape just like Mission Impossible 4. The best time to visit Dubai is November - March. I went there in July . It was about 44 Degree Celcius. So that was pretty hot weather. About 80% of the visitors were Indian.Burj Khalia does not have a seperate exit. You haveto take Dubai Mall exit and go underground to Burj Khalifa.

Our trip to the Burj and Dubai mall
It's a building and lots to do at the mall...so many options to ear but they was charging way too much to basically take a left to the top floor and view the city what was even more shocking they was charging alot to even go up half way up the burj. Its should be a free service so people can enjoy the sights. We'll atleast you'll see the dancing fountain for free 6-11pm we saw it around 6.30pm but it's better to view it when it gets dark. Also there are any vendors outside where the dancing fountain is including a Turkish ice dude which is fun...

Great view but a bit expensive
It is a great experience to travel in the tallest building in the world. You may enjoy the view on the 125th floor. You may also see the water dance of Dubai Fountain, too. However, it is a bit expensive to the top of Burj Khalifa.

Very enjoyable, photos a complete rip off, take your own.
We’re running a bit late so called them and they said no problem to be 20 mins late. Easy journey up, reasonable coffee shop prices, friendly staff. Amazing views, well worth doing. Only downside was the price of 1 photo from the kiosk.…£50 (GBP). Luckily had taken lots of our own

    Not cheap but worth doing
The lifts are so quiet and smooth you can’t tell you’ve started moving let alone at the speed needed to get up 124 floors in 60seconds. Fantastic views from the 2 observation levels including an open deck. A must do in Dubai.

We went at 6:30pm, and with timed tickets you’d think it wouldn’t be crowded but it was! So be aware if you have smaller kids that don’t like being amongst crowds. We were here about 9 years ago and it didn’t feel this crowded then. Lovely views finally after the weather dust cleared up. Better views at night in my opinion.

I had read other reviews and was worried that too much overcrowding might make this visit a challenge but I booked a ticket for a Wednesday at 12:30, arrived at 12:00, was allowed in straightaway and it wasn’t busy at all. It was only the photographers that were annoying.

As I hadn’t been in Dubai long, I didn’t know how much value I would get out of the view as I wouldn’t recognise much. But I could see the fountain show location, the overpass I had walked through to get from the metro to the mall and further in the distance I could see the Dubai ‘frame’ - one of the pieces of architecture I had discovered so far.

If you’ve travelled to Dubai Mall from the metro you will be on Level 2, so make your way down to LG. It seems that if you want to get to the top, you must start at the bottom! Symbolism?

It remained fairly uncrowded until a large group of children with ‘Summer Camp’ T-shirts piled in, pushing and shoving, yelling, taking souvenirs from the gift shops and running around with them, swearing and/or giving each other the finger.

They also seemed to bring in snacks and within half an hour, the floors (which had been sparkly clean) were covered in chips and crumbs etc. So that was a shame.

I felt sorry for the Burj Khalifa staff having to put up with that, but I don’t hold it against the staff supervising the children because goodness knows you aren’t really allowed to discipline them anymore.

Ok. This was exactly that. Ok. During my time of visit it is extremely humid limiting your view. However I would recommend returning in the winter where the weather is more tolerable permitting clearer views. Still at least you can say you’ve been up the words tallest building! An achievement at the most. I would also do the VR of mission 282. It’s worth it!

The world’s tallest manmade structure is a great architectural and engineering feet. We were there on a very hazy evening,so visibility was poor. We still enjoyed it and recommend going.

The tallest building on earth with 828 meters and 163 floors, right next the huge Dubai mall. Breathtaking and stunning view from the observation deck.
