My family loves it here. We always come here when passing through and spend the day hiking, swimming and floating the river. It is absolutely beautiful here. We park one car down by the pub and then the other car brings us up to the bridge, we float from the bridge to the pub and it can take anywhere from a couple hours to a few hours depending on water speed. It's a beautiful river float and last time we saw a bald eagle swoop down and catch a fish from the river right beside us. Beautiful. The recreation area is gorgeous

Just a one night pit stop on our way to Silverwood. Sites were clean, prices decent, and usually lots of capacity. Will have to try to carve out some time for a bit more of an extended stay.

They used to offer 1/2 price camping until May Long/- Nope not anymore. Not a dog crap bag to be found in this entire park. Hence Dog crap within 2” of every trail.
Sad really. Locals used to love coming here before tourist season… no point anymore.

We stopped in on the way to Montana and our site was very clean and the site itself was massive. Sometimes I forget about the provincial parks and I am glad we had the opportunity to stop in here again as it has been years since our last visit. It is a daily with children’s paradise, and while our kids have outgrown camping with us, we enjoyed our overnight stay. We plan to return again.

this is our favorite place to stop off season and lounge by the kettle river for a quick snack and enjoy the sound and sight of the water. We hope to camp here on our next trip sites are on the river with trees which we like and nicely spaced.

We lucked out when we managed to book 4 nights at Kettle River. The site is large but campsites are spaced out so it was quiet and there was a lot of privacy (especially on the western side). We had lots of room and were surrounded by trees so got shade.

There is a shower house (warm water) with flush toilets and a dish washing station. Most of the other toilets are pit toilets but I was very impressed with how clean they were kept.

We stayed in site 23 along the river. We had our own private path to the water, but there are lots of access trails for the other sites.

There are plenty of activities for families.

A float along the river is very relaxing. We'd recommend having ring style floaties and water shoes (the rocks are hard to walk on).

The river also had some great swimming holes and it is exciting to watch those brave enough to jump off the Trussell bridge.

Biking is also a great activity at this park. The road throughout the campsite is quite flat to make ot easy for kids. There is also an incredible bike park. There were times we could see at least 20 kids on the bike park at the same time. There are also bike trails surrounding the area for those wanting a bit more distance.

We also went on a hike in the area to get some great views of the valley.

Overall, this is a beautiful campground with lots of activites for families. We would definitely return and highly recommended it to others!

For number of years we go there. Always peaceful time, in the forest, lot's beautiful fireweed, walk to the river. Watch people floating down, jump off the bridge. Watch the ground squirrels. From there drive to Greenwood, beautiful town, with lot's of history WWII. Drive to Grand Forks for authentic Russian Borsch. May even see a unicorn ??

We went camping with our daughter s-i-l and 2 grand daughters. We were lucky enough to get sites beside each other for the first two days, on the third day our kids were to move up around the corner. We were fortunate enough to be allowed to put all our stuff on one site, which made it much easier for us. We just parked our vehicles on the other site. Our main purpose for picking this site was to tube the river. Unfortunately the water was rather low, but we managed to have a great time. The campsites were well looked after the people that managed it were great and our 9 and 11 year old grand daughters had hours of fun riding their bikes around which made for care free adult visiting.

This campground is situated on the beautiful Kettle River. The site and facilities appeared to be well maintained and the staff were really friendly. Loved putting our chairs in the river, and jumping off the bridge into the water. Hope to return next year with my fishing rod!
