The view alone is worth the stop, no joke! The grounds are kept very well, one old bench in need of repair is only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review. Lots of space both for stretching legs and parking. A cute little back story to go along with it all. I will certainly stop again for the scenery if nothing else, nice spot for a quick lunch break on a drive.

Yup, it is a HUGE PADDLE! A must see for any water sports enthusiasts that use paddles. Dragon boaters need to have this on your bucket list. I was able to climb on for an iconic picture! Golden is a lovely place, we were here for hiking and added this as a road trip stop off:)

We couldn't visit Golden without a trip out to see the Largest Paddle in the World. This was not a disappointment. It is a bloody great big paddle.
I have visited the world renowned Bude Tunnel and never thought I'd see anything as incredible as that. I only fear now that there are no more wonders for my eyes to see.
A must visit!

There is a little pond to cool down, take your swimsuit with you, but the paddle is done within 5 seconds, honestly.

It isn’t clear what the attraction of a large paddle is, but it didn’t get more interesting at close range. If you are driving by, you can see it, but it’s not worth a detour. It isn’t mind-blowingly large, someone just made a big paddle and put it in a field. The enthusiastic reviews are a bit puzzling, especially when there are places like the Buffalo Ranch, the Wolf Sanctuary and Spillimacheen’s Beeland to visit.

Wow that’s a big paddle!! This is definitely worth a little stop! It is right off the highway pretty much exactly 25kms east of Golden. If you are driving from west to east on your left-hand side you’ll see a canoe sticking out of the ground, it is about 2 km after that on the same side of the road. There is a little post across from it so you can set up your camera for a selfie! Keep an eye out for lots of wildlife on that highway, there’s also lots of eagles nest along the highway also, very nice drive.

This neat little stop is about 30 km south of Golden on the Trans Canada Hwy. If you don't know it's there you're likely to miss it.

We were there in March 2021 when there was still quite a bit of snow on the ground so we didn't stay long but it was neat to see. In warmer months you could enjoy sitting at one of the benches and taking in the mountain views. Our kids fell in love with a friendly dog that greeted us upon arrival.

Worth the stop if you're in the area, and then you can say your saw the world's largest paddle.

On the road between Golden and Radium, lucky travellers will be delighted to find this treasure. Rest assured, the size is impressive. You may find yourself saying, man is that ever a big paddle! For some added enjoyment it has recently been strung with some festive holiday lights. Worth the quick drive for sure. Beautiful little look out, nicely landscaped. If you’re lucky, the friendly neighborhood dogs will swing by. Lovely little place.

My guest and I stopped to take a picture. We seldom get to see tings that are actually in the Guinness Book of Records

Wow cool place and great idea.
Located about 25km from Golden. A bit difficult to find but you'll see it on the left side with a small sign.take note of the address to get a good idea of the distance from Golden.
Fun to see another canadian item in the Guiness book of world records.
More than 5300 pounds and 60 feet long. Qbout 200 hours to complete the art.
Spend a few minutes to read the description and take picture.

Nice little stop and it's free.
