This place is permanently closed down by the government. Political corruption and extorting funds. No one knows where the animals have gone. People have lost their jobs.

Only gave it one star as it’s closed. Popped down today (22 March 2022) in case there was a change. But no. Don’t bother going unless you get info first.

The turtle farm we have know and loved for many years has been closed. We were there right before they closed the doors and most of the turtles and other sea life had been removed. This has been a go to for our children and grandchildren for many years! Very sad....

Basically several small aquariums, with apparently well groomed turtles. Do not bother to buy the food for then

Brought my daughter here during our recent trip as she is an animal lover. She enjoyed looking at the turtles and seeing fish both inside of the aquarium and in the ocean. We paid the extra $30 pesos to get turtle food so that she could feed them as well. The entire visit took less than 30 minutes but it wasn’t expensive at all. We would do it again to support the cause. Great activity in the south end of the island.

It was nice to see some good tortoise but largely in captivity. It’s gud visit for about half hour. Kids may enjoy it. There r small aquariums where there are few fish variety. Could have been much much better though. Largely commercial but not enough value for money. You will have to pay 30 Peso for entry here. Not big amount but not commensurate to expectations.

Cute, low-scale turtle sanctuary with a fenced-in, sandy egg nursery, juveniles, adolescents and a couple of big honkin' adults! A nice staff member let us snap some portraits with non sea turtles. Other people had pellets that the turtles seemed to enjoy, but we never saw any to buy...

This is a small facility. They have turtles of different ages in pens. you can feed them turtle food. Not sure how well they are taken care of but most looked ok. We hoped that the facility is run by true conservationist and that they do release them into the ocean at some point.

Hi! I am interested in visiting with my 18 month old. Is there an age limit? Or are all ages welcome? Thank you!

Was wondering how much the taxi was and how did you get a taxi back to the boat dock after you were dropped off. Do you think it is find-able on your own in the golf carts???

Is it open in January? Not hatching season. Would there be much to see?

yes, you just don't see eggs, but there are all the rest of the stages.

When we visited recently, we did not see any injured turtles. They did not appear to be recovering or in need of help. Are the turtles released? Are they bred in captivity? (did not see any way they could make it to sand to lay eggs)

Turtles are raised from eggs and released up to a year old. Turtles that hatch in the wild have a very low chance to survive being eaten by birds or crabs as they work their way back to the water after hatching. Also once in the ocean due to their size they are an easy meal. Sadly the estimates are only 1 in 1000 survive to adult in the wild. This captive process greatly improves their chances of survival. They have released thousands of turtles already here in the fall. Also turtles that end up needing help are kept in care if too hurt to survive in the ocean. The sand area is only used for eggs that are brought in to hatch naturally then raised till they are older. Most often the eggs brought in are ones being attacked by raccoons, ants and crabs during the time they are laid.
