      Great experience
My family and I toured Oak Alley Plantation. The grounds are beautiful, and the tour was very educational. The tour inside the house lasts 15 minutes. The rest of the time you are allowed to check out the grounds at your own leisure. If you travel in the summer, I recommend you bring water or something to drink. If you forget, they sell water, lemonade, and other beverages outside the house. They also have two restaurants and a gift shop on the property. Following the plantation tour, we went for the swamp boat ride. That was so much fun! Captain Tom was our guide, and he was quite knowledgeable about all the wildlife. We saw alligators and wild boars plus birds. Captain Tom threw marshmallows at the alligators to lure them so we could see them, and then he fed them raw chicken so they would jump out of the water. He also allowed everyone to hold a baby gator. I highly recommend this tour. The bus driver and the tour guide on the bus were very professional. It rained while we were on the boat ride, but it did not affect the experience as the boat has a cover. If anything, the rain cooled us off and added to the excitement.

      Very informative tour
Kate was extremely knowledgeable about New Orleans and the Whitney Plantation and made the tour very enjoyable. Unfortunately I picked a very wet day so wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I could have. The driver was very good in getting us to and from the Plantation.

      Friendly guides, boring sights.
We enjoyed our driver and guide. The first part of the tour was interesting. The cemetery was disappointing. It was a new cemetery, not an old one. No famous people there, no movies filmed there. The stop at cafe du monde in the park for a break was 15 minutes -barely time to do anything, then back on the bus for 2 more hours of boredom and hearing about hurricane Katrina!

      Great tour!
The bus tour guide was excellent, with great depth of knowledge of the history of New Orleans. There was a perfect amount of time to do the house tour and explore the grounds, as well as eat lunch. The swamp tour was fun and exciting—I was surprised at how many alligators we saw. Highly recommend!

Lots of great history. Learned a lot from the tour guide about the history of the plantation and the build of the mansion. We had a great time.

Know the Lore of New Orleans
Kim's experience and professionalism along with her authenticity and engaging spirit made for an enjoyable experience. This tour is not for encountering the spirits but rather for understanding the lore of the city. Well done.

      This one is the truth
Not many plantation tours are as open and transparent about the experiences o truth of life on slavery experience. A lot of the stories told are watered down and whitewashed. Not this one! Its a beautiful property and the experience is quite moving and spiritual.

      Educational and great for families.
Our guide Alton was amazing! He knew so much and kept it very engaging. I love that the plantation focused on life during the time and gave a true depiction of what slaves went through. Definitely worth the trip.

    A great experience.
We booked the lunch buffet. It didn’t look great, but it tasted FAB (beans, jambalaya, fish, potato salad, bread pudding).
Seating was a scramble at first (looking for shade), but after 30 mins, you could sit almost anywhere. Jazz on the shaded roof was brilliant. A great few hours..

The guy in the booth by the Cafe DuMonde told us the jazz cruise was going to be down for maintenance on Tuesday and would be back running on Wednesday. On Wednesday we showed up to purchase our cruise and both riverboats had canceled. (We didn’t purchase in advance because several people advised us against this because of riverboat cancellations.) Anyway, a representative of Club Wyndham verified the riverboat would run on Thursday, but to get tickets, we’d have to sit through a 2 hour presentation. This turned out being four hours, so we could not go to other events we planned. The cruise was actually nice, but I wish the band would have played more selections.

It sounds as though the booth person should have sent you to our own ticket booth so we could assist you directly. We certainly don't expect anyone to sit through a "presentation". We regret your experience and wish we could have assisted and made your experience easier.

Very organized boarding process. Food was really an excellent and tasty selection of New Orleans cuisine. You could eat all you wanted to. I really appreciated that even though it was a buffet, the servings were provided by gloved servers instead of the diners each grabbing the serving utensils with their bare hands! All the staff was professional and very friendly. The gentleman who narrated the cruise was very interesting and provided a lot of information that I had never heard before. A live band played on one deck but closed circuit televisions were on every deck so that you could see the band that you heard playing some great music. A very enjoyable and delicious experience.

We were celebrating our 28th anniversary and decided to take the river cruise with the dinner package. The dinner was amazing! The service was totally outstanding! Kudos to Lisa our waitress and Gina (not sure of her position) they both were just amazing. The music was great as well. I would recommend wearing light breathable clothing. It gets really muggy and hot quickly.

It was the 4th of July 2022, which also happened to be my wife's and my 40th wedding Anniversary. The onboard Dixieland band granted a request to play "I can't give you anything but Love, Baby". It was very special along with a great view of the city and a delicious southern cooked meal. We bought the photos! A must do event for any visitors to the New Orleans area.

The cruise itself was good. The narrator was very informative. The views were good. We had the lunch option. The food was not good at all. Very bland, taste was horrible. There was no running water in the restrooms to wash your hands. It was disgusting! A staff member was advised and nothing was done.

They would have addressed the water situation with the engineer. It would have been best to close that restroom and they are available on all three decks. Our sincere apology for that situation.

Good cruise, nice commentary on New Orleans and the lunch was tasty. It’s a short ride up and down the river to view the sites. It has a few decks so you can always get a good view.

The cruise was pretty fun and we would probably do it again. Boarding was easy and even though we were pretty far back in line, we still got a front row seat at the top of the boat. It was nice to have the history and landmarks that we passed told to us through the loudspeaker. Everyone serving on board were super nice did a good job. We would not pay for the lunch again, though. The food was just ok, but not worth the price to us.
