Great Alhambra Day Trip from Málaga
This Alhambra Day Trip was from Málaga, and it was really well organized. Everything from the coach bus, to the tours of all the palaces, went smoothly. And the tours were great! I chose the option to add the Nazaries Palaces, and was glad I did. This was another beautiful part of the tour. I give kudos to our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, and was even kind enough to take photos of us. The only thing I would have liked, is a little more time in Granada to walk around and shop. But I realize we were on a schedule. This was truly a worthwhile trip, and is definitely a MUST DO!

Save a lot of cash and go on your own
Given the price to get into to the Alhambra is not that much, to pay €160 for a guide and a coach from Malaga is extortionate. I thought it would be special as I booked for the small number tour. 1. there is no rep for the coach. The driver, who doesn't speak English, does the pick up at Malaga and then blasts on the radio. 2. there is a pointless stop in Granada for an hour. We picked up one woman who then was a half hour late getting on the bus back. We were left to our own devices for an hour in Granada main town, half of which I spent trying to get a sandwich (see 3. below) 3. you are strongly advised to bring food. Not necessary at all. There are plenty of outlets at the Alhambra, including the very nice Parador. 4. Define a small group? I got the impression it was a group of no more than 8. It was double that and got very complicated as people had different bookings. People were grumbling about the chaos. Not just me. 5. The guide, who eventually met us at the Alhambra, was disorganised. She never gave us an overview of our trip, or an overview of the history of the Alhambra and spent time trying to find some very late arrivals. No, if you're late, you've missed it. Sorry. 6. Lots of queueing and passport showing - which was much worse as we were a group so it took a long time My advice? The Alhambra is NOT to be missed, but get a train or a bus there and go around on your own. I don't think the guide added much and she wasn't particularly engaging or engaged.

      Beautiful Alpujarra!
Thank you to Gonzalo for a wonderful day! He was kind, funny and informed. His love for the region brought it to life for us. He introduced us to a local resident of Capilerilla, and we had a lovely time chatting and practicing Spanish with him. Great food and great company, stunning sites overlooking the mountains and quaint small villages. We learned so much. Highly recommend! Be prepared for motion sickness if that’s an issue for you.

      Excellent tour of Alhambra
We met our guide Angela Rebora Garcia at the meeting point. She guided us around Generalife, Alcazaba and the Nasrid Palaces, her knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour extremely enjoyable. Angela answered any questions we had during the 3 hours it took to visit all the areas. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

      Villages and local history
Our guide was very knowledgeable and very quick to translate all information into either Spanish or English. He was a very safe driver on the twisting roads, and we found the tour excellent value for money.

      Ronda is worth visiting!
Gonsalo was a wonderful driver and tour guide! He made the trip very well worth it! We really enjoyed talking with Gonsalo to and from Ronda. We also had a walking tour, despite a little mixup at the start of that tour, Tonya had a lot of enthusiasm for Ronda which was obvious & showed us some amazing views! Lastly, there was some free time to explore Ronda & to have lunch but another hour of free time would have been nice.

      Good tour, car too small!
Enrique was great guide. Car was entirely too small for 4 adults to drive from Malaga, very uncomfortable. Check type of car for your group and get commitment in writing.

A lovely day trip to the Alhambra!
I had a phenomenal day trip from Málaga to the Alhambra! There was only the three of us so it was almost like a private tour. I spent the day with two lovely Spanish ladies from Asturias. They were too sweet! Luckily, my Spanish was good enough to understand what they were saying to me. Too bad my speaking skills had gone so rusty I couldn’t reply easily, but we still had a great time. Our driver was punctual and a very nice and cheerful guy! My ticket to the Alhambra didn’t include a visit to the Nasrid Palaces which was a shame, but the Alhambra was gorgeous nonetheless! Definitely worth the visit. My guide at the Alhambra was very nice and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the history and culture of the place. And her jokes were funny as well! I truly had a lovely day and would definitely recommend the tour! :)

Impossible to hold it in a picture (and a description)
Unforgettable place, breathtaking sceneries, impossible to stop taking photos that nevertheless cannot contain than a portion of such a majestic environment. The path is well set and the path is definitely an easy stroll for everyone - apart from those who suffer from vertigo. It was really up to my expectations!

DO NOT BOOK. WILL CANCEL YOUR TOUR LAST MINUTE.
DO NOT BOOK with this company (Discovering Spain). Despite the tour being “confirmed” by TripAdvisor, the tour company were flaky from the beginning and told me via email that the tour was, in fact, NOT confirmed. They promised they would contact me if they did get another reservation to confirm the tour. Which is a bummer but I get it and can roll with some uncertainty. I booked another refundable backup tour with a different company just in case. Discovering Spain never contacted me but I did email them myself 3 days before the tour to check in and they said a second reservation had been made by another group, so the tour was confirmed. So I cancelled my backup tour and thought we were all set for a great day in Nerja and Frigiliana. Then, the day before the tour (less than 24 hours before it was supposed to start), they contacted me again to say their second party had cancelled their reservation so our tour was now cancelled. THE DAY BEFORE. Outside the cancellation window. After I paid. After already confirming it. After I cancelled my backup plan. I understand that they need to hit a minimum group size to cover their costs. What I don’t understand is why those costs weren’t already covered if the second group cancelled outside the cancellation period, since they would’ve been already charged (as I was) and the fee would’ve been nonrefundable for a late cancellation (I asked multiple times about this and they refused to answer). That is the entire purpose of disallowing cancellations within 48 hours of the tour starting. So this should have been a profitable tour for them even if it was just my party of two joining the actual tour. I believe Discovering Spain pocketed the other group’s money at 100% profit and decided to incur no costs at all to themselves by cancelling while screwing us over. This left me with a wasted day on my vacation due to a flaky tour company because no alternate tours were available to Costa del Sol for the next day. I ended up booking a private tour at THREE TIMES THE COST because I refused to let them ruin our vacation by wasting an entire day. I’ve been on many group tours like this and occasionally had a similar situation crop up where another group cancelled late. In every instance, the tour company has made good on their promise to their customers and simply conducted the tour with only my party of two people. I have never ever ever seen a tour company willingly totally ruin a client’s vacation day like this. People work hard to earn the money and time for vacation days. That’s the whole reason this company exists. Discovering Spain provided the single worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered from a supposed “hospitality” company. Honestly, I don’t even think they should be allowed to list their tour “services” on TripAdvisor or Viator anymore. It’s a terrible reflection on those companies, as well. So unless you don’t care if they ruin one of your hard-earned vacation days on a whim or don’t mind paying 3x the cost to another company when they leave you in an impossible position with a cancellation less than 24 hours before, AVOID THIS COMPANY (Discovering Spain) AT ALL COSTS.

Day trip to Anna and Xativa
Disappointed. Our guide couldn't speak a great deal of English (we'd booked an English speaking guide), therefore not much information given. Anna was not particularly interesting. Guide dropped us half an hour's walk from our hotel on return.

A beautiful day connecting with nature.
The trip to the Alpujarras was a highlight of my travels in Andalusia! It was lovely to connect with beautiful nature and see a more traditional side of Andalusia. It was a small group and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Our guide, Gonzalo, was fantastic- very attentive and recommended a delicious traditional restaurant for lunch. I would highly recommend this trip!

      Well organized Alhambra tour.
We had a pleasant trip , very thoroughly and professionally organized, went all smooth even with a rescheduling. The two minor points to consider are the Alhambra tickets are of different kind, with or without Nasrid Palace, with Guide, with Audio guide, which made the understanding difficult of what we got at the end (we chose the full access with Audio guide and was ok for us) The driver doesn't speak English and does not interact with passengers during the 1hr 30min drive from Málaga and back. Would have been nice to have someone that had the knowledge in order to answer some questions along the way. Over all as long as you clarify what are you getting with the ticket to avoid disappointment the experience is enjoyable. The time given at the Alhambra is 4hrs which is just right. There is a brief stop in Granada of about 45min. Strongly suggest to buy your lunch there to eat later on Alhambra gardens as there are very limited options onsite.

We visited the Mosque in Cordoba, what a beautiful place. Our trip was made more beautiful and exciting because of our tour guide “Gonzalo” he is knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic.

I took a day trip from Granada to see the Mosque/church in Cordoba. The driver was on time and it was clear where we would meet. The driver was very nice and punctual. It was just myself and one other young man. We had a lovely day and really enjoyed the guided tour of the mosque with our local guide Ana, who was extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. There was a short concert on the church organ which was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour if you are not going to spend the night in Cordoba as I have been here traveling around for 3 months and I would not have wanted to miss this Mosque/church. This is especially great for a single traveler.

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. I booked a City Locker in Granada via their website, but due to the website's error the confirmation email said Malaga instead of Granada. I tried to replicate this again to make sure it wasn't my error, and sure enough the next booking for Granada also tried to set at Malaga.
I reached out via email immediately to alert them of this error on their website, and to fix and/or cancel my erroneous reservation. The company completely ignored my requests - which I made several times as my reservation date came closer.

Of course they took my money despite the reservation not being used, and they sent me a 'How did we do?' follow up email despite me not using their service. At this point nobody from the company has reached out yet to fix this error, and I will have to pursue a chargeback with my credit card company.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN PROCEED TO IGNORE YOU ENTIRELY.

The organization is very good in general - we were picked up at the designated meeting place and was driven to Cordoba. It almost seems like a private tour being that we are the only ones in the car. Our driver, Danny, can converse well in English and he assisted us very well. Upon arriving in Cordoba, we were given ample time to walk around the city before we meet the official guide to the Mosque at 12:30pm. This suits well for us since we were able to eat brunch first. Our guide to the Mosque is Anna and she is very very good and full of information. We wouldn't have known such information about the Mosque if it weren't for Anna. The Mosque tour took almost 1.5 hours and we were given ample time to take pictures around. We need to leave Cordoba at 3pm to drive back to Malaga. Some may say it is a bit tight because of the travel time but nevertheless, it was quite a nice day trip over all.

There are some amazing views and interesting history to the walk. However, Due to the large volume of people, there are multiple stops being made which feel unnecessary. Also, waiting to enter was tedious. However, our guide was knowledge and entertaining and she was very engaged, so the stops were at least interesting.

Our guide Paula was excellent; she was knowledgeable, helpful and communicative through a three hour tour. The Alhambra is extremely busy and the meeting place for tours is chaotic with poor signage and multiple agents . There are numerous queues for new tickets, redemption of vouchers and information. A passport is necessary for admission to parts of the tour. Many people are unaware of this requirement but, fear not, if you have a photographic identity or a screenshot of the original passport then you can join one of the longest queues for a special ticket,
There is a great deal to see and much information to absorb : if possible aim to spend the day on site after the three hour tour! Be prepared for enormous crowds and the progress of your tour may be paused as the group in front make their way through each section of the tour.

We took a tour to Cordoba from Granada. The driver, Ignacio, was very nice but he spoke to two travelers from Peru in Spanish and not to us. We didn't know that he was only the driver and that we would be meeting another tour guide. We arrived and were given some free time to get something to eat but it really wasn't enough time. We met the group for the tour itself and waited. We began the tour and the tour guide was ok, not outstanding because he lacked enthusiasm and his English was a bit hard to understand. However, the Cathedral/Mosque was very impressive and worth seeing. We then had about 1/2 hour of free time and left for Granada. There were two things in the description that we did not see. One was something about Spanish Bulls and the second was that we would be going to the Jewish Quarter, which we didn't do. This was a pricey tour and I am not sure I would recommend it without some changes.

I had an amazing experience booking my Córdoba trip with Anera travel. We had a fun conversation with our tour guide Rafa and were also given enough free time to shop and explore the city. The car that we took on the trip was comfortable and a better option than trying to figure out the logistics on my own. I would highly recommend scheduling this trip for a fun and informative experience.
