About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- justinlpdx0 contributionsA Tour worth it in St John'sWe had a great tour with Iceberg quest. The boat ride was beautiful and we got to see 3 whales plus puffins. The boat staff on the tour was also great, very friendly and going out of their way to ensure kids had a good time and got the opportunity to see the whales. The only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 stars is their loading process - they should assign you a number based on when you check in and pickup your tickets instead of making you come back and wait in a long line that then isn't loaded in that same line order.Written July 19, 2024
- jenny_stranges0 contributionsOne of the best experiences of my lifeA group of us girls did the whale watching experience for a Bachelorette party. This was the part of our trip to Newfoundland I was most excited for and it definitely lived up to the hype! The crew was incredible: Glen, Tyler and Captain Mike - thank you for treating our group like royalty, for being patient and kind to the few who were scared/got a bit seasick, and for your hospitality. It was a foggy and cold day but we saw two humpbacks (one came so close!), two bald eagles and memories to last a lifetime!Written July 19, 2024
- Compass032951390560 contributionsGreat view of 3 whales & Cape Spear! The crew was very friendly and informative. We were in close proximity to 3 whales for about 30 minutes. Great view of the coastline and Cape Spear. Great tour overall!Written July 19, 2024
- heatheroW6136AM0 contributions⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you Glenn, Captain Mike, and Tyler for making this such a special trip for us!! The crew went over and above to accommodate our large group (17 person bachelorette party!), and make this a memorable tour. The history and information about the local area was super helpful and fun to learn. We were lucky to get lots of time with a humpback whale, and saw many puffins, and an eagle. The boat ride was a blast, and the scenery was beautiful. Captain Mike you still owe me a beer! I saw the whale go poof!Written July 16, 2024
- Khilly80 contributionsHighly recommend! The crew was very hospitable and friendly. Very knowledgeable as well. Had a very foggy day but we were able to see a beautiful whale for a lengthy amount of time. Highly recommend!Written July 16, 2024
- G5539OLannief0 contributionsUnforgettable!Incredible experience! Glen, Tyler, Captain Michael and the rest of the crew made it a truly unforgettable experience. It was a foggy day but we were lucky enough to spend some time with a beautiful humpback whale. The tour of the coastline was lovely as well and the whole crew made sure the vibes were high the whole way through! Thank you again!Written July 16, 2024
- Roam5332560 contributionsGreat whale watching tour!We had a fun and amazing day on the water. The crew was knowledgeable and engaging. We also kissed the cod and are now honorary Newfoundlanders!Written July 16, 2024
- 856jinnyk0 contributionsSuper disappointed..A couple of years ago, we went whale watching and saw a few whales. We tried again today with a special guest from another country, but unfortunately, we didn't see any whales—just a boat ride around the ocean. It was really disappointing. We spent $400 for 2 hours on a boat in the salty water with no sightings.Written July 15, 2024
- momr2d20 contributionsGreat way to enjoy the north atlanticMy 2 adult sons & I did this tour and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. The views of Cape Spear were wonderful and we did see some whales and puffins. I wish we had seen more puffins up close but that is not controllable. We were able to get screeched in on the tour at $15pp. The crew were absolutely amazing and friendly. The tour was pricey and full....I did not think the amount of people waiting could get onto the boat but apparently the capacity is 99. it did get crowded when trying to see the whales but that is expected.Written July 14, 2024
- debbiebJ4946WT0 contributionsGreat boat ride on the ocean! It was a great boat trip! Staff were very friendly, it was a smooth boat trip and saw lots of whales! Great puctures and videos. Saw Cape Spear, Signal Hill from ocean side and saw puffins and an eagle. Great memories!Written July 14, 2024
- Peter E0 contributionsIceberg Quest is a must see!Amazing experience to be hold in St John's, the team was so accommodating and informative. We saw 10 whales on a 2hr trip and also puffins, dolfins and lots of birds! It's a must if you visit St John's!Written July 14, 2024
- wackolacko0 contributionsEpic!!Best whale watching experience we’ve ever had. We’ve been to BC and saw orcas and humpbacks but never did we think we’d almost be able to reach out and touch a humpback whale. The whale had put on a show as if we were at marineland. Highly recommend this tour company. Great, funny and experienced staff.Written July 14, 2024
- 242CK0 contributionsA whale of a good timeMy wife and I booked a 2-hour sightseeing trip. The staff were both friendly and funny (as you'd expect from Newfoundlanders). We lucked out and had a day, so that added to the experience. After a short tour out of the harbour area we had our whale experience, two humpbacks that cruised along for a bit before they decided to put on a spectacular show. From multiple tail slaps and a few breaches (came right out of the water) it exceeded my expectations. Now not every tour will be lucky enough to see a whale, but the crew did their best between sightings to talk about the other wildlife (puffins, sea birds, eagles in their nest) that we came across. I highly recommend taking the tour!Written July 13, 2024
- I3193GKkeithm0 contributionsJust perfect, all that I hoped for on my holiday.I arrived in Newfoundland on a Friday with 3 boat trips booked in the hopes of seeing whales. The Iceberg Quest trip was on the Saturday and thanks to the crew,I saw two humpback whales going through a complete set of aerobatics.I can’t believe the other two trips will match this one,but I will go home very happy.Written July 13, 2024
- lilliansB6175LW0 contributionsSaw 2 humpback whales, a pod of dolphins, scenery, fishermen & their catchGreat tour, found the tour operators and staff, did a great job, took the extra time to find the whales, great entertainment!Written July 13, 2024

This boat trip was a lot of fun. Even though we didn’t manage to see a whale on our particular cruise, it was great. No one can predict when or if you can see whales but we knew that going in. Nature isn’t there just for our Ientertainment afterall! But the crew onboard made sure everyone had the best time either way. I would definitely go again.

Friendly, entertaining, knowledgeable staff. Even though we didn’t see any whales or icebergs it was a wonderful, not to be missed experience.

The cruise was an all around amazing experience. The route is well planned to optimize the likelihood of you being within close proximity to multiple whales while still allowing you a waterfront view of many of the great sites on the bays of St John's. The mix of fog and clear whether my friends and I experienced helped further the magical draw of the tour, adding mystique and satisfaction in perfect juxtaposition. The amount of different whales and birds you can see alone is crazy. The true pin point that really kept the experience on a high note was the crew. Before we even left the dock they were quick to make sure you had plenty of sunscreen, something unaccounted for by my group and happily resolved by the crew. The sea shanties molded the overall mood of the adventures we were bounding toward. In those few small spurts where the sea air was chilling, various crew members were quick to bring around blankets and sacrifice their jackets. They all kept us alert to where we could best see the different creatures at any given time. They were very knowledgeable about the area and the history in addition to the various animals. My group was not aware of the experience that was being Screeched In until we were well out at sea, but the crew was very accommodating in allowing us to share in that experience despite no notification as such before departure. If you love seeing unique animals in close proximity, or if you love listening to cheery music and banter in a scenic environment, I highly recommend this experience.

The Captain and Crew were outstanding. Although the weather did not cooperate during our cruise the crew made the trip worth it.
Especially Glen , he was the nicest person that we met during our 10 day trip to the island.
If you are looking for a tour while in St Johns this is the one.

We had an amazing time on this tour! We got to see a ton of whales and the crew were awesome. Glenn especially went above and beyond to take care of us, I had been feeling nervous to be on the boat but he put me totally at ease. I would go again and again!

I booked this excursion for a family of four on the day of the tour , while travelling , thus I was unable to print off my tickets. When we presented at the check in , the agent was only able to find 3 out of 4 of our names that she had hand written in her little book. She did not have access to a computer or hand head device to check the bookings, and proceeded to inform me that I was not booked & would have to pay her at the wicket. Well, then I pulled out my personal phone a show her the email confirmation for me and my three other family members, by name! I have to wonder in this world of digital technology at our finger tips, it put my family & I thru much unnecessary stress in the moments before the cruise, and left us wondering "How many more people has paid the second time to be with their family on this cruise?"
Other than this issue , it was a beautiful evening cruise experience & we hope the musician is getting paid lots , because he was an awesome entertainer & played the whole time! The sea was a little rough especially on the return but a very refreshing cruise - just take a few warm layers of clothing in case it gets cold as the evening closes in. We did not see an whales or ice bergs since it was not the right season for their appearance, but thats OK since we see lots, since we live in costal Newfoundland.

We thoroughly enjoyed this concert cruise! The local musician Jim Feehan was amazing and sang a mixture of Newfoundland and other popular songs. He sang and played guitar for two full hours, taking requests too! There was a bar with beer, wine, spirits, and snacks such as bars and chips. The crew are super friendly, helpful, and they really make the trip enjoyable for you in any way they can(thanks to Glen for being so amazing). We went out through the narrows in St. John’s harbour, passing famous sights The Battery, Signal Hill, Fort Amherst, Cape Spear, and went almost as far at Petty Harbour. We saw lots of whales and different sea birds. The boat stopped at a spot where whales were breaching so we could have a good look and take photos. It was just an amazing boat tour and the sights were gorgeous. It was easy to take many beautiful photos of this breathtaking place! Thank you to all! I highly recommend doing this tour.

I brought my friend who was visiting from Ontario on the concert cruise Friday night and we had the best time!! Carolann (the owner) was aboard and she was an absolute doll! She was so obliging and lovely to chat with! Glen, one of the crew members, was nothing more than amazing! He could not do enough to make everyone’s experience amazing! He asked if my friend had been screeched in, which she had not, and he then insisted on screeching her in! It was an overall fantastic experience and I could not recommend enough!
