Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet Airlines (WS) is the country's second largest airline. Along with its regional subsidiary WestJet Encore, the airline flies to about 90 destinations. These include destinations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. The airline also has codeshare arrangements with more than a dozen other carriers. WestJet operates airplanes with all Economy Class seating. Passengers can opt for certain fares (known as Plus) that offer preferred seating in the front of the plane with extra legroom. The airline has hubs at Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

Bunch of liars. On July 19, 2024, WestJet emailed me, saying that my connecting flight was cancelled. NO reason given. This after I RAN to get to my gate! Since my initial flight was late leaving. Due to all of us waiting for ONE flight attendant to show up! WS 241 was NOT cancelled! It was late, as were all the WestJet flights I took yesterday. They were probably overbooked, and simply put me on a flight, leaving THREE and a HALF hours later! I got home after 1am. Got to sleep at 3am, and then had to work at 7:30am for 7.25 hours, cleaning vehicles at my part-time job. WJ doesn't give a f*^& anyway. So why do they bother emailing me, asking me what my travel experience was?!…

WestJet is consistently the worst airline I or anyone I know has ever experienced, especially if you’re travelling with connections. Always delayed and often an issue with the plane. They boarded a plane without a working AC in 35 degree weather (on the plane) and are not even apologetic about it. It’s a hot box! All the delays = missed the connection too. Never again.…

I had my baby with me. I paid for checked-in luggages at the last minute so it could be easier for me to bring my two sons. Your two agents who assisted me were horrible. No consideration at all. You made me carry my PAID checked-in luggages for a long way. We almost missed our flight due to your error. You wasted my time. Worst experience ever.…

Flights cancelled at the very last minute. Rebooked and got absolutely worst seats on the plane. Upon arrival bags didn’t arrive and no one at the airport to assist. Wasted three hours at the airport then submitted claim online. Status indicated bags were on the next plane from Calgary to Atlanta so we waited four additional hours near the airport. The next flight arrived but there was no agent at the airport for this worthless airline to update the status. Called and asked if we can go by the airport and pickup our bags if they made it to Atlanta and we were told if there isn’t any agent there then we will not be able to pick it up. Had a trip the next day that we couldn’t make it because of westjet loosing our bags and us not being able to make it home (2 hours away from the airport) to unpack and pack. Worst customer service, rude agents, clueless staff. Do not recommend…
