After four years of living in Brooklyn and writing for PEOPLE, Sophie quit her job in the spring of 2022 and moved her things into storage to focus on full-time freelance writing for Travel + Leisure and other reputable publications. Now, she spends her time working on vineyards, road-tripping through the Pacific Northwest, and seeking out the greatest outdoor showers of all time—all in the name of investigative journalism. She focuses on personal essays, branded content, feature writing, and just about anything that involves Paris.

Sophie has a Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College in English Language and Literature/Letters. She minored in French and spent two semesters abroad.
