According to T+L A-list travel advisor and Caribbean specialist Margie Hand, Breathless Resorts are “popular for a fun and active girlfriend getaway or bachelorette bash” since they “offer invigorating entertainment, music, first-class spa treatments, great food and cocktails, and more.” While the brand has a handful of properties throughout the Caribbean, we’d be remiss not to highlight the Montego Bay location, which boasts an idyllic locale along a prime stretch of sand. Kick your mornings off with a group yoga session before heading to one of the three sparkling swimming pools for lounging (don’t miss the stunning rooftop pool and bar area, where you can all sip cocktails and snap Instagram photos in style). Alternatively, grab the girls and go kayaking, paddleboarding, or snorkeling. Plus, pool parties, live music, an on-site nightclub, and 11 bars and restaurants only add to the buzzy atmosphere. What’s more, BodyHoliday attracts fitness-loving, wellness-seeking travelers with its award-winning Wellness Centre, which features Ayurvedic-inspired spa services, a thalassotherapy pool, an infrared sauna, nourishing treatments (lime and ginger body scrubs and aloe body wraps, anyone?), yoga, tai chi, and meditation. In addition to sailing and scuba diving excursions, your squad can also partake in group fitness classes — though simply lounging out on the beach is recommended, too.
