To say that Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” has been a long time coming would be an understatement — but the premiere is finally here.

For the first time in the franchise’s 22-year history, one of its shows will finally have an Asian American lead.

Bachelor Nation will soon watch Jenn Tran, 26, step into the role as the first Asian American bachelorette. Jenn first appeared on Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor” earlier this year where she opened up about her Vietnamese culture. She became a fan-favorite for her playful personality, but Tran was unexpectedly sent home before the final four.

Now, fans will get to learn more about Jenn, who is studying to become a physician assistant, as her journey to hopefully find love begins with her 25 contestants
