Greenwich Peninsula is set to host a full line-up of summer events including a free music festival and an outdoor cinema.

If you’re looking for ways to spend the summer holidays, Greenwich Peninsula has announced a packed calendar of events over the summer with a number of them for free.

Whether it’s an outdoor activity or a chance to soak up some music, there are plenty of things to do for all the family this summer.

Here’s everything you need to know:

Try your hand at Wild Swing Mini Golf

Where? Canteen Courtyard next to NOW Gallery, Greenwich Peninsula

When? July 18 – September 2, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday 12:30pm – 6pm, and Thursday – Saturday 12:30pm – 8pm

How much? £2 per person and bookable online

If you fancy a spot of mini golf this summer, you can book a session in the Canteen Courtyard.

The 9-hole course has been designed by Lee Baker and Catherine Borowski of Graphic Rewilding, in a floral design inspired by the wildflowers in the Greenwich Peninsula marshlands.

Explore colourful fabric designs on a Chromatic River Walk

Where? Greenwich Peninsula’s riverside walkways and Tide Square

When? From 18 July to September

How much? FREE

If you fancy a walk along the river up until September you’ll be able to spot the colourful and prismatic fabrics and surfaces designed by fashion designer Kitty Joseph, with this installation being her largest to date.

During the walk you’ll spot a number of her designs that represent the natural elements of wind and water.

Enjoy some food and jazz at the Rhythm and Taste music festival

Where? Design District, Greenwich Peninsula

When? Saturday 20 July from 11am – 7pm

How much? FREE entry

If music and food is your thing, head over to Greenwich’s Design District, just a short walk from the IFS Cloud Cable Car, where you’ll find the Rhythm and Taste: Jazz and Music Festival.

This event is free to enter, with performances from acts including DJ Tina Edwards, Marla Kether, Jamie Leeming, Naia, Pyjaen and Babel Brass.

If you get hungry after all that dancing you can find an array of food and drink stalls, including Wineyard London with a curated selection of wines and wine tasting sessions available for £35.

Catch a film at Picturehouse’s outdoor cinema

Where? Central Park, Greenwich Peninsula

When? 26 – 28 July and 2 – 4 August

How much? Adult £17 and child £14. All tickets include a £5 credit towards food and drink.

If you fancy watching a film, head over to Central Park in Greenwich Peninsula, where on the weekends of July 26 – July 28 and August 2 -August 4 they will be hosting a number of film screenings.

You can choose from an array of classics like Jaws, Back to the Future and La La Land, with food and drinks stalls if you want to grab some movie snacks.
