Kaya Burgess

Kaya Burgess covers science and religion for The Times. He has also been a general news reporter and feature writer, covered the health and media patches, written the paper's satirical TMS column, reviewed albums, covered music festivals, and run the award-winning Cities Fit for Cycling campaign, for which he was named Young Campaigning Journalist of the Year and commended by the Paul Foot Award. He has worked on other campaigns, including the Time to Mind child mental health campaign, and has run charity appeals for The Times and The Sunday Times. He has reported on overseas assignments including from the war in Ukraine and from France, Malawi, Kenya, Greece and Russia. He joined The Times in 2008.
