Jane Powers writes the daily Nature Notes in The Times, Ireland and a weekly gardening column in the Ireland edition of The Sunday Times. Her book The Irish Garden won the Garden Media Guild (UK) Inspirational Book of the Year. She is mad about tomatoes and is involved in the annual Totally Terrific Tomato Festival, which has twice broken the world record for the greatest number of tomato varieties gathered in one place.
