Elgan Alderman

sports writer, the times and the sunday times

Elgan Alderman has written about more than 40 sports for The Times and The Sunday Times, and has featured on Times Radio and TalkTV. He has a particular love of rugby and cricket (especially if it’s Welsh), archives and numbers, and has covered the Paralympics, England white-ball tours, snooker and darts world championships, Wimbledon and the Rugby World Cup. He enjoys interactive pieces – racing a virtual horse, playing real tennis with the world champion, comparing his neck strength with that of an F1 driver – and he writes The Scorer, our weekly column on county cricket during the summer.
