Douglas worked for The Sunday Times from 1994 and was appointed Scottish football correspondent in 2001. He covered the World Cup and European Championship finals as well as collaborating with Graeme Souness on his column for the paper. He ghosted Graeme’s memoir and the autobiography of David Weir, the former Rangers and Scotland captain.
