Bernard Lagan

Bernard Lagan is a contributor to The Times and based in Sydney. As well as covering Australia, he reports on New Zealand and the South Pacific. A New Zealander, Bernard has lived in Australia for three decades, where he spent a long career on The Sydney Morning Herald, both in Sydney and as a political correspondent based in the capital, Canberra. He later wrote for that newspaper from New York, where he was based for four years.
