Helicopter ‘was not shot down’

Tbilisi Irakli Okruashvili, the Georgian Defence Minister, said that he was on board a helicopter shot over the separatist province of South Ossetia. The aircraft was damaged but landed safely. The South Ossetian government had said that a Georgian Interior Ministry helicopter was shot down after its crew failed to respond. (AP)
