(a) In various Eastern countries, a building for the accommodation of travellers. A caravanserai. Turkish, originally Persian, a lodging, residence or palace. 1879: “These serais generally consist of a large square stone building.”

SOOR
(c) A pig. A term of abuse for a person. A pig or swine. Anglo-Indian slang. Adaptation of the Hindi suar. 1936: “You black soor, when I order you to do a thing I expect it to be done at once.”
CREDITE
(c) One who is credited. One to whom something is entrusted or sold on credit. 1541: “To credit and trust the poor inhabitants unto such time the said credites might make clothes of the said wools.”
