Wimbledon

Sir, At the risk of running foul of the proposed legislation outlawing religious hatred, can I just say I couldn’t care less if Tim Henman wins, loses, or even fails to turn up (letters, June 21 and 22).

From Mr Christopher Mayer

Sir, I agree that Wimbledon’s crackdown on hampers was good news for caterers (report, June 21). The practice of hiding behind the smokescreens of public order and now terrorism has been going on at cricket grounds for years, with customers forced to pay well over the odds for sometimes dodgy fare.
