Who Killed Bambi?, a first feature from Gilles Marchand, has an atmosphere you could cut with a surgical scalpel. The setting is a hospital, a medical microcosm with its own set of rules. Isabelle, a student nurse, is a wide-eyed innocent who instinctively feels the threat in the antiseptic corridors. She suspects a suave surgeon (Laurent Lucas), who nicknames her Bambi. While the film fails to deliver the tension it promises, the sexual charge between Isabelle and the doctor is fatally fascinating.
