Whisky cocktail recipe: Peach Head

Spearhead whisky
Peach Head cocktails
Peach Head cocktails

Spearhead is a new whisky that uses a combination of traditionally fire-toasted and infrared-toasted barrels, resulting in an ultra-smooth, complex flavour. This process is unique to malt making and creates a bold yet light and sweeter taste that marries with fresh fruit notes in the Peach Head long serve. The whisky itself has violet floral notes, blackcurrant and blackberry and dark chocolate on the nose, rounding off to red apple with lime citrus, vanilla fudge and light brown sugar on the palate.

Ingredients

Spearhead (35ml)
Pêche de vigne (15ml)
Lemon juice (10ml)
10 mint leaves
2 dashes orange bitters
Ginger ale

Method

1 Fill glass with ice.
2 Add all ingredients, top with ginger ale and garnish with fanned slices of peach and mint leaves.
