By coincidence, Dr Martin Porter (letter, same day), himself perhaps a GP, says that Wimbledon “confirms how interesting cricket is”.
So we are not stumped after all! Now, let me tell you about the time Eric Hollies bowled Bradman for a duck at the Oval in 1948 . . .
