A vast quantity of knowledge compressed into a tiny space is expected to fetch a big price at auction this month.
The 16 miniature books, the smallest of which is 3mm by 2.5mm, offer the same words as the full-sized versions.
They were published 300 years ago and are a tribute to their printers’ skill.
The sale at Bamfords Auctioneers in Derby runs from March 16 to 18.
