What do graduates earn?

Some degrees are harder than others - we all know that. Some degrees are harder to get onto - we know that as well. What we didn’t realise was how the money stacked up afterwards.

Looking at the average graduate starting salaries is quite a surprise. Social Work students will be raking in the cash once they graduate. Their course has the lowest entry requirements of all subjects listed in the Times Good University Guide, but graduates will start on a wage £5,000 higher than Archaeology students.

Law students, on the other hand, do not earn as much as you might guess. They start on an average salary almost £2,000 lower than the undergraduates smart enough to sign up for Library Management. Theology is also a surprisingly lucrative subject, although Medicine and Dentistry are still comfortably top of the table.
