We Live in Public

‘The greatest internet pioneer you’ve never heard of’, despite his best efforts stars in a documentary by Ondi Timoner

We Live in Public is a documentary about Josh Harris, whom the film's director, Ondi Timoner, describes as "the greatest internet pioneer you've never heard of". If that's true, it's in spite of the efforts of Josh himself, who emerges from this documentary as a crazed self-publicist.

In 2000 he lived with his then girlfriend in a Big Brother-like house, broadcasting their lives together 24/7 in a project that was entirely financed by him.

Mercifully, Harris has now run out of money, but I fear we haven't heard the last of him.
