Sir, Regional wasps (letter, August 26) must have different tastes.
On a recent youth pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, our young pilgrims found that Norfolk wasps ignored a well-known brand of cola. Of the several liquids tried (though alas not beer as it was a youth pilgrimage), by far the favourite was orange squash. When I returned home to Yorkshire, however, the wasps totally ignored my orange squash and I am yet to entice them into my trap with anything.
Yours, etc,
R. G. COOPER,
The Vicarage, Wakefield Road,
Lightcliffe, Halifax HX3 8TH.
August 26.
