I'm getting married in January and don't want a traditional dress. I'm a size 8-10 and would like something knee-length and fitted, with sleeves. I can only find black or red in the shops. Can you help?
For a flattering, fitted shape, Roland Mouret is hard to beat. This lilac dress (right, £1,300, by RM; 020 7378 8600) is a good example of his masterly drapery, and it's pale, so a nod to the bridal theme. BCBG Max Azria has a similar style (£377; my-wardrobe.com). For 1950s chic, head to French Connection for its blue Bella dress (£90). Finally, brave the January chill with this glam faux-fur shrug from Laura Ashley (£50).
I have Christmas parties aplenty looming on the horizon and am in search of glamorous high heels I can dance in. Any recommendations?
There are several secrets to comfortable heels. Ankle straps are a good start, as they stop slippage, and avoiding a stiletto is key: a chunkier heel is much more bearable. In which case, some DKNY shoes are a really good bet (£225; net-a-porter.com). Topshop's (£65) are nice and secure - and wider, so won't squeeze your toes. Alternatively, go for the real McCoy and pick up a pair from Repetto (£135; asos.com). Proper ballet shoes with heels, these are designed for dancing - and feel like it, too.

I'm struggling to find a pair of fashion biker boots in a size 9. The usual brands don't seem to cater for anyone above a size 8. Help!
Faith has classic biker boots up to size 9, which should fit the bill (£60). And check out large-size-designer-shoes.co.uk, with designers such as Olivia Morris and Pedro Garcia, which will solve any future conundrums.
